Leys, which has Visit Britain 5-star status, is close to Lyme Regis, sea, countryside, SW Coastal Path and many other footpaths. The views are spectacular, as is the location with lots of outdoor space, ambiance, and many activities, including table tennis, snooker, boules, badminton, short tennis, table football, swing ball. It is good for families (with/without children) and big groups (not hen and stag parties - sorry).
I am afraid we are unable to have short breaks in school holidays.
A peaceful spot for relaxing and star gazing - no light pollution. A bridal path runs past the farmhouse, which joins a network of footpaths. 20-minute walk to Lyme Regis along River Lim recommended.
There is a field for sports, boules piste, stables with indoor games. Car park behind the property. Lots of space for running around and letting off steam.
Interaction with guests
I am usually available in person, but always have mobile phone with me.
Other things to note
Proximity to coast and countryside. There is also a working pottery (The Pot Place) on the site. It is available for groups or individuals wishing to explore some basic hand-building modelling techniques and create a unique reminder of their holiday. There’s also a small selection of pieces that can be decorated. A portable pottery wheel is available to use on request and people are welcome to 'have a go'. The class is aimed at all levels and ages, but it would be helpful to know in advance what experience you have and what you hope to achieve from the session.
This class will hopefully fire your imagination and offer a lasting memory of a wonderful holiday experience.
£15 per 2-hour session (min. 2 person) or £15 per 1-hour 1-1 session (inc. basic material for making one small item. Extra charges for specialist material may be made as agreed)
Please contact Amanda Roberts on (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) or (EMAIL HIDDEN) to arrange a convenient time.
I provide some logs for your first fire in the woodburning stove. There are also large bags of logs in the back porch. These can be purchased for £5.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome (if booking before the end of May 2017*), but should not to be left unattended in the property or garden under any circumstances. We make a small charge of £5 per dog per day, or £25 per dog per week, to cover the cost of extra cleaning.
* Regretfully, because of several bad experiences, I have had to decide against hair-covered pets. I shall obviously honour existing bookings.
No hen or stag parties, except in exceptional circumstances, ie when they have none of the usual characteristics of stag/hen parties.
I am afraid we are unable to take short-break bookings during school holidays.
