Our house is part of one of the oldest Masseria in the area of Conversano,
We are in the landscape, a central location near to the blue sea and to many touristic attractions, Alberobello, Ostuni and Polignano but above all in a very peaceful place

The space

An indipendent rural house part of a very ancient Masseria of the XVII century, previously owned and inhabited by Conte Avquaviva d'Aragona. Located among "muretti a secco", very old olive trees, almond trees and cornfield, at 4 km from Conversano, one of the oldest art towns of Puglia.
It's the right place for people who like the relax of the country and the wonderful Adriatic and Jonian seas.
Masseria San Pietro is at 45 km from Bari airport, 80 km from Brindisi airport, at 5 km from Castellana and Polignano a Mare, and really very very near to many wonderful locations like Ostuni, Cisternino, Alberobello, Martina Franca, Otranto and Lecce.
The house has a dining room with kitchen, fireplace and living room, two bedrooms, one with two single beds, and another one, on a wooden mezzanine, with double bed and one single bed too; both bedrooms have the same access door, they are interconnected.
A comfortable bathroom and outside a platform with sight on the garden.
Perfect for a family with 2/3 children!
It's possible to rent bycicles for little tours around the countryside.
In the same place it's possible to take part to cooking classes organised by Direfaregustare ((URL HIDDEN)

Guest access

Guests will be completely indipendent, they have free spaces inside and outside even if the main residence is there!

Interaction with guests

The location is one part of the whole Masseria, we are separated by a simple hallway to be in contact very easily, if necessary.

Other things to note

It's the best place to live a natural experience in the traditional Apulian Masseria.
Particularly suitable for families, inside all tools for your children, crib, high chair.

Very centrally located for visiting lots of pretty towns.Although it is a rural setting the main road is close by and Conversano,a lovely town with good facilities is only a few kilometres away,so everything is accessible.Marina was very helpful and all the little extras such as 'emergency' food for when you arrive, towels and a great stack of logs for lovely open fires is really appreciated. We all enjoyed a bit of spring sun and change of scenery.Thank you

We had a great time at Marina's house! The house is gorgeous and Marina was a great host. The house had everything we needed and more, including amazing fruit trees and surrounded by Olive trees. The location is very good, only 25 mins from beaches and also to amazing towns: Arberobello, Monopoli and Poligano di Mare. The Grotta de Castellana are also amazing. We had a fabulous time! Thanks a lot Marina.

Marina's guesthouse was the perfect AirBnB set up. It was separate from the main house so we had our privacy but with Marina living next door, we got to experience the hospitality of a host and we loved the experience. The farmhouse was beautifully and lovingly restored by Marina and her husband. It was very well equipped with everything we needed for the stay (the beach towels and umbrella came in very handy). We loved the terrace and the garden with all the fruit trees (the figs freshly picked from the tree were the best!). For us the location was perfect as you had the peace and tranquility of the countryside but within 15-20 mins you can be in the bigger towns in Apulia to explore. There were many beautiful beaches close by. Marina was a wonderful host. She was very responsive to all our queries. She was warm and welcoming and we were made to feel very comfortable. We also had a cooking class with her and her friend Mara and it was one of the best travel experiences we had. The class, the regional food and the wine were perfect! I highly recommend the cooking class experience to all future guests (or non-guests)! Thanks again Marina - we had a great stay and cannot wait to return for a longer stay in the future.

Our stay at Marina's house was really nice. Everything was comfortable and the house was beautiful, with all sorts of details and even some basics such as coffee, which was very thoughtful. The only thing I would mention is that wifi didn't work very well. Apart from that, we had an amazing stay at Marina's house!

Hi Marta thank you so much! Unfortunately we are in the countryside and the wifi line is not always working well even if we had a very powerful machine! We have the quietness of the countryside but of course also some inconveniences. Sorry and many wishes Marina

The accommodation is part of an old farm house which has been beautifully restored. It is set in really peaceful and idyllic surroundings with your own private outside space with fruit trees on the adjoining piece of land (we counted 10 different types of fruit) and a shaded area for eating and relaxing in the evening. Marina lives nearby and was easy to contact, if required, and spoke excellent English. She was extremely friendly and happy to provide advice on places to go in the area. The house is really homely, tastefully decorated and is a relaxing environment to stay in. If you are keen to cook (as we were) the house is well equipped with all the facilities you need. Marina even supplied a number of basic food ingredients and a couple of bottles of wine at the start of the week which were much appreciated. The setting for the accommodation is rural, but just a few km away from the town of Conversana, where there are shops and restaurants and also just a few km from the sea near Poligano where you can swim in crystal clear water. Other spectacular places to visit nearby include - Grotte di Castellana - 3km of caves with the most amazing stalagmites and stalactites. These caves are well worth a visit. - Alberobello, where the trulli (ancient Puglian buildings of unknown origin), are in abundance. The Trulli area is now a UNESCO world heritage site. - Locorotondo - a hilltop town composed of ancient beautiful white buildings. You can wander through the streets and enjoy views of the surrounding countryside. We thoroughly enjoyed our Puglian holiday and would definitely recommend Marina's house as a perfect base for trip to this region.

We stayed for 5 days and wished we had stayed longer . Wonderful place to stay and Marina and her husband couldn't have been more helpful and welcoming . The accommodation is extremely well thought out whilst being in keeping with the age of the building . The open fire was particularly welcome as the weather was quite cold . Would definitely return .
