Best stay at the shore! We're a lovely coastal home offering guests a relaxed ambiance at the shore. Our South Room offers and island vibe with a larger footprint than the North Room. What a great weekend getaway!

The space

We're happy to share our comfortable 3 story home with you only 3 blocks from the beach and boardwalk in the BEST part of AC- Gardners Basin. We offer you a B&B experience nestled in a great little pocket!

We're a single family solar home with lots of sunshine and parks featuring a wraparound porch with wicker furniture. We have two tennis courts directly across the street, a full track and little league baseball field. The well respected Fisherman's Park is across the street which serves as home to a memorial of the fishermen and watermen lost to the sea over the years. It's a beautiful green park, sitting directly on the waterway full of clamboats offering a dozen picnic tables and charcoal grills.

Our 2nd floor hardwood floor guest rooms each feature a queen size bed, individual air conditioning controls and a bathroom with shower and tub. Airbnb guests share the full bathroom on the 2nd floor. The owners bedroom is on the 3rd floor with our own bathroom. Linens, bath towels, shampoo, conditioner, hair dryer are all included as well as tennis rackets. Television is provided in our living room.

Our spacious front porch overlooks a large yard with birds and squirrels across the street from public tennis courts. Views from our back porch are the entire AC skyline and the bedroom views are the Borgata and Water Club. We describe our home as comfortable, coastal living without the cost of being on the beach! We're 3 blocks from the beach and boardwalk as well as the lovely historic Gardeners Basin Waterfont.

Our living room is shared with our guests featuring a large flatscreen TV and internet. Our Tuscany themed kitchen has an open floorplan. Coffee/tea and a continental breakfast of home baked goods and fresh fruit; however, cooking is not permitted. I think you'll agree we offer more than other hotel rooms and venues in town. Transportation is easy and carefree. Don't drive! Take an Uber from our front door, or grab a jitney from our corner to every casino for $2.25 pp.

Our place is truly in a unique spot in AC much different than other offerings....the homemade baked goods, the personalized welcome and the warm goodbye offerings...much like a real B&B without the cost.

Our little niche of AC features the historic waterfront area of Gardners Basin within walking distance with the AC Aquarium, restaurants, bars, breakfast places, fishing and dolphin watching excursions during the warmer weather. The historic Absecon Lighthouse is just a few blocks away as well as the beach and boardwalk within 3 blocks.

We are 10 minutes from the train station and 20 minutes from the AC Airport. Transportation can be arranged for a nominal charge. We're very well versed with area attractions as well as area tourist traps. We're invested in AC as we also have an ice cream & dessert cafe with tea room in Gardners Basin.

We're unique as we offer a homey, comfortable place to rest close to the action Atlantic City has to offer. Many of our Airbnb guests are return customers calling us their home away from home. Summers are awesome in our area but the fall, winter and spring months offer a quiet respite from the hustle and bustle of the city. Our resident indoor cats, Tommy & Dennis, are included as an amenity....,but never in our guest rooms.

Although our city is facing challenging economic times, our mayor offers great things happening in AC....this summer we had an awesome beach concertsJimmy Buffet concerts and the free AC Airshow . Check out the Do AC website for more things to do in AC! This is a "must do" for anyone wanting a fun mid week visit or weekend!

One of us is retired (the lucky one) and the other is still working so we provide a nice blend as hosts. We have 5 grown children and 7 grandchildren in the area which do visit with us from time to time. We're very civic minded and involved in making AC a great destination as well as great place to live.

What's better than being in AC yet tucked away? Urban environment in a blended community yet feeling like you're in a farmhouse in the countryside. Give us a try!

Guest access

You have access to whatever you, refrigerator, iron, blow dryer, beach chair, front porch, books, television .....just enjoy yourself! A shelf in the fridge can be made available for beer/wine.

Our back deck has a beautiful table and chairs.
The front porch has wicker chairs which is a perfect place to hang out with a beer or three after a glorious beach day. Front porch curfew is 11 pm but that doesn't mean it's a house curfew! Stay out as long as you want! This is AC...we're 24 hours! Just be mindful of other guests and your hosts when returning in the wee hours.

Interaction with guests

We welcome you and leave interaction up to you as much or as little as you like. Most guests read the Local Intel we leave in their room then have questions and we share additional info.

We enjoy having coffee on our porch in the morning and many times guests join us. Remember the house is your house when you visit! It's all about belonging!

When we began this business, we weren't sure what to expect so we went to Philadelphia and stayed as an Airbnb guest ourselves to experience what it would be like. Luckily, we stayed at Rob's place in Phlia and learned from him to be a good host is to be friendly yet unobtrusive and to let our guests determine how much interaction is wanted.

We're always available to chat and to share stories or answer questions about the area but don't feel like you need to talk. Treat our home like your private retreat and interact as much or as little as you want. Use the room as only place to lay your head a night, or use it as your home at the shore with old friends who are gay and lesbian friendly.

Other things to note

We're as close as you can get to a B&B feel in AC without the prices of a B&B. We love the beach...but anything you bring to the beach please either leave in your car or on the porch. Please don't bring it into the house. Hose off your feet on the front porch, or around back if visiting during warmer weather.

If you're a solo traveller or couple coming to Atlantic City, this is the accommodation for you. You can stop searching! Location is good, safe, quiet, but what's more is that it is so easy to find and to get around from, if you're driving. I had the south room- it was spacious and equipped with every little extra I might have needed. Very comfortable. Paul and Colleen are delightful people and gracious hosts. You'll love them.

Colleen and Paul were absolutely awesome hosts! They offered great advice for the best places to check out, and we had a great time because of it. We only were in AC for about 3 days and we definitely got the most out of our trip with their help. Not to mention, Colleen is an incredible baker and made banana bread and pecan pie that we were able to enjoy! House was super clean and the room we stayed in was very nice. They made us feel extremely comfortable the whole time. We would absolutely stay with them again and would recommend them to anyone. Great people, great location, great stay.

We definitely recommend staying here! Colleen and Paul were extremely hospitable and helpful even before our arrival. Once we arrived we were greatly impressed with the cleanliness and location of this beautiful Airbnb. Colleen and Paul provided great suggestions about public transportation, restaurants and spent the time to answer all our questions. They definitely made our trip easier. Breakfast in the morning was a very nice, and delicious, bonus to an already great stay.

Colleen and Paul were great hosts. They were very accommodating when we asked to drop off our bags before the check in time and we were able to easily get in contact with them with any questions we had. They also provided a lot of local insight on places to eat, which was very helpful for us because it was our first time in AC. The location was walking distance from the beach and a 10 minuet Uber to all of the hotels and casinos. We really enjoyed our stay and it was a great alternative to the hotels in the area.

Paul's retired (sort of) and Colleen still is working in the Atlantic City casino industry. We also are proprietors of AC Sweets N' Treats which is an ice cream & dessert café in Gardner's Basin with a tea room called Tea on Two on the 2nd floor above the shop.

We love to travel together on our sailboat during the winter months as well as the enjoyment of entertaining people from all over the world who've been guests in our home. We are casual people that enjoy good conversation, good food and nice people from all walks of life.

Paul sometimes cooks scrumptious breakfasts of blueberry pancakes or rum drenched French toast if you can catch him before a sail, or before heading to our shop. Family is our priority spending lots of time with our grown kids and grand kids. Our front porch will offer you much time for relaxation and comfort.k
