There's no better place to be in October than in Salem. We've got the art, the gore, street fairs, yummy food & spirits (hehe) and duh, Halloween! My 1850 antique home is .8 mile to downtown, ½ mile to Derby St/Pickering Wharf. We've got antique quirks with lovely modern flare & functionality.

Guest access

You will have access to the whole home (except the basement which is locked), driveway and backyard. The backyard is fenced in if you do bring a pet. It's fairly private with a patio and seats. Houses in Salem are close together so if you use the backyard, just be mindful of noise.

Interaction with guests

We most likely will be away that weekend but have neighbors who are available and we are available by phone!

Other things to note

This home was a complete renovation and while the renovations are nearly done there are some odds & ends (missing outlet covers, trim, dishwasher is not yet connected) but it's truly a unique and cool house with modern upgrades- brand new bathroom on 1st floor. Kitchen has cool concrete countertops (I did them myself!) and 2 bedrooms with vaulted ceilings. The upstairs bath drain needs to be emptied after showers so it doesn't clog. It's an old tub but the rest of the bathroom is updated. We got Wifi, on demand, HBO, Chrome Cast and all that jazz. There's an elliptical in the guest room you are welcome to use.

Super cute and very close to downtown - within walking distance. It was the perfect space for a girls Halloween getaway. Angela was very quick to reply to any questions. She drew us an awesome map and gave us great suggestions on places to eat and fun venues for our weekend. She provided snacks, toiletries, even bagels & cream cheese! We would definitely stay there again. Thanks Angela, we had a wonderful weekend!

I'm a clinical director in human services & a local musician. I live w/ my husband who is a writer and musician as well. I moved from Boston to Salem about 9 years ago and fell in love with it immediately (Continue to do so each day). I'm also a handywoman and have renovated a few homes in Salem but decided to stay put in this 1850 home. Most of the big stuff is done and I love the results but there are some odds and ends I've yet to tackle. We also have a little dog, Stanley who enjoys chasing squirrels in the backyard.
We've got a lot of stuff going on in October so would love to open our home to someone else to make some wonderful memories in this magical town.
