Pond Hill Place was a lovely summer destination for my family- our 3 kids and my father. The house is wonderfully decorated and has everything you need. We all remarked on how comfortable and clean everything is- great linens and furnishings! The pond was so much fun to swim in, use the paddle boat and catch frogs. We enjoyed the hot tub under a meteor shower- it was an incredible place and we all talked about coming back in the winter to snow shoe and cross-country ski (we aren't downhill fans, but it is close to a few different mountains for folks who are!). We would highly recommend this spot, especially for families as the rooms were well set up for anyone with kids.

This property was one of the most beautiful homes we have rented. Our group of 8 adults and 2 children came together for a family-friends reunion in Vermont and there was plenty of space including a large bunk bed for the kids. The home was beautifully and very thoughtfully designed - right out of HDTV! Very clean, comfortable beds, plenty stocked kitchen, well stocked with plenty of sheets and towels and in the living room with cable and Netflix. Erica was very responsive and helpful in answering my many questions. They had even gotten in a beautiful fire pit close to the pond which my family enjoyed. We got in some canoeing and swimming at the Camp Plymouth State Park on Echo Lake and loved our dinner at the Rustic Rooster only a few minutes away. Great local recommendations provided by Erica and Janson.

Erica and Janson's home is simply gorgeous and provides a wonderful opportunity for rest and relaxation. The home is beautiful, clean, and spacious. The property is wide open, quiet, private and breathtaking. Erica and Janson are open, communicative, helpful and kind. My friends and I had a wonderful time and would recommend this place to anyone looking for a weekend away and off the grid!

Our group of 6 adults, 3 kids and one baby had a fantastic time on our 5-day stay at Pond Hill Place. There are far too many wonderful features to list, but here are a few of the highlights: The owners were above-and-beyond in their responsiveness and friendliness in making us feel at home. This house is baby and kid-friendly and the ample safe lawn areas to romp in made for some delightful afternoons. The pond, with its swimming dock and paddle boat was a dream -- we spent hours there every day! A well-manicured estate with gorgeous landscaping, native blueberries, and beautiful woods were a serene setting. The kitchen was very well designed, well-lit and provisioned with the necessities and then some. A large porch sports a grill, 6-10 person table, and a nice view. We ate outside every night and got to even see some impressive wildlife. Downstairs, the relaxing living room seats at least 10 for after-dinner lounging, with many media options, including fast WiFi. As for the bedrooms, there were plenty of combinations to suit our needs, all with comfortable mattresses, fans with lights, good shades, extra blankets and well-stocked linens. At the rear, the hot-tub was a plus, as was the outdoor shower. In the dining room, the table has 2 leaves which could seat almost 12. We found the entryway nicely arranged with benches, shelves and hooks. Although the property itself is so peaceful and quiet we didn't have much urge to venture out, there is ready access to hiking and other mountain-based activities, as well as only 15-20 minutes to shops and restaurants in Rutland. In sum, from the well-maintained private drive, to the beautiful and tastefully-decorated home, this is a rental we will return to and recommend.

The house is wonderful and made our reunion enjoyable. It's very quiet and peaceful, the pond is less than a five minute walk and has comfortable chairs and a chair swing to sit near. The 8 of us fit in the house easily, and had a pleasant barbecue and hot tub experience. The house is also a 10 minute drive from a section of the Appalachian trail, we ended up taking a ~1 hour hike to a beautiful view.
