Khula’s Cottage is the recently unveiled eco-friendly self-catering cottage, built in a truly unique and extraordinary location within the perimeter of The Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre.
Basic electricity is provided via solar panels, and limited mobile phone coverage facilitates a true African getaway from the hustle and bustle of city living.
The cottage offers an exclusive and private setting to observe the life of HESC’s cheetahs and is the perfect base from which to explore
The Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre (HESC) is concerned with the conservation of rare, vulnerable or endangered animals. Located on the Kapama Private Game Reserve, in Hoedspruit, South Africa, it has been operating since 1990. HESC facilitates the release and establishment of captive-bred and rehabilitated animals to the wild.
Daily tours of the centre are available. Each lasting 2 hours. Game drives on the neighbouring Big Five Kapama Game Reserve are available at an additional rate.

Khula's Cottage also has strict check-in times (14:00 - 17:00) due to the welfare of our animals (safety reasons). Please note our gates close at 17:00
Late arrivals are only allowed in cases of emergency (proof and valid reason required) until 19:00.
An extra late arrival fee will be charged which is payable upon arrival.
