Perfect for a male traveler wanting somewhere to stay short-term. The area is fun and safe. It is easy to go out on U-street for restaurants and bars. Kitchen is not really equipped for cooking a full meal. Street parking is actually restricted and largely unavailable. Metro is incredibly accessible. It is in the range for via, which is a plus!

Response from Veaceslav:
Hi Emma , the street parking is not restricted , keep in mind that this is a residential area and it can be challenging to park during night time , tend to mention that this thing was communicated to you when the reservation was booked . As far as not being able to cook in the kitchen, I think it is for the best , giving the fact that you forgot the stove on and the fire alarm went off at 12 am . Regards . Veaceslav

I think that Veaceslav is the best host you can find on airbnb. He is very kind, helpful, and respects your privacy. He is above all you can expect from a host. Concerning the place, there is all you need and it's clean! So I highly recommend you his place.

Veasceslav was a very attentive host. He helped us with public transportation and gave us instructions about were to buy some groceries. He even bought a coffee machine when we told him we usually have coffe for breakfast. Sharing the bathroom was never a problem, everything was clean. It was a very nice and safe neighbourhood, close to an important avenue with a lot of restaurants, and accesible public transport. You could get to downtown in ten minutes by bus. Overall, a very nice place to stay.

I really appreciated staying with Veaceslav. His apartment is very nice, the neighbourhood has a lovely vibe and a great location, and he is the nicest guy. I personally screwed up my check-in times, and he was most accommodating and helpful. Would highly recommend staying with him

I was in Washington on business and I found the space to be close enough to the White House, and Capitol Building to be easily accessible, but far enough away that it was affordable. It's easy and cheap to take the bus on 14th Street to get closer to downtown, and the Metro station is a 10 minute walk to U Street. I would highly recommend this space for travelers who plan to fly to the city and use public transit or services like taxis, or Uber to get around. There is parking nearby but it's either two hour parking or requires a permit. It's a relatively easy walk from the apartment to the U Street area, which features bars, restaurants, and businesses such as Trader Joe's. I was working 12-14 hours per day as a journalist during my trip, which was during the time of the inauguration, so I would stock up on food for the times when I was in the space getting work done. The bed is very comfortable, and there is a refrigerator for food. There is also a table, and some folding chairs if you need a work space. The apartment was simple, but very clean. Slava is a thoughtful host and very hospitable. I was actually sick when I arrived and he was quick to offer me tea to help with my cough. On the first floor the building supervisor was also very kind. I was caught out in the rain one day and she helped me with an access card to use the dryer in the laundry room so I could dry some clothes before getting on a plane that day. I was soaked. Overall, this space is much nicer than it looks in the photos, and if you're going to be doing a lot of work, and needs a very quiet and nice place to sleep, it's a super good deal for Washington D.C. I highly recommend this space. Slava is also a native Russian speaker, if you speak Russian, or are from Eastern Europe or the former USSR. He is is a polite, intelligent and very cultured person. He is a friendly and hospitable host. Every question I had was answered quickly and accurately before my arrival, and during my trip. I highly recommend this space to travelers on a budget looking for a simple and clean place to sleep.
