Accord is a beautiful 2 hour drive from NYC, and it is close to both Mohonk Preserve and Mountain House, as well as Minnewaska State Park. It's an ideal area for nature lovers!
We are happy to share what we know about the area and offer ideas for wonderful dining and fun activities for the whole family!
We hope that guests will have a wonderful time, and we hope that guests will keep in mind that our house is an old farmhouse that requires care and maintenance. We expect that people will be thoughtful about how they treat our house and the things in it. Eco-friendly vacationing is one way to help keep our home and the surrounding area beautiful!
I am a classically trained singer originally from California, and I’ve been living and working in NYC for the past 20 years. My husband is from the Netherlands, and he is a computer scientist. We have a daughter who is entering the 2nd Grade, and we live in Manhattan full-time.
We always dreamed of having a house in the country with forests of trees nearby, and we found it in lovely Accord. We spend as much time as we can in the area visiting local farms, hiking, and enjoying country life. We love meeting so many warm, friendly people in the area!
