Well and truly on a farm and a very quiet non-touristy area. Great spacious place to be with friends and relax together.

Our family stayed here in early September. The pictures make it look a lot greener than it was when we were here. We didn't have a green lawn or soft grass to hang out on, but maybe that's normal around here. It was super quiet (except for the train, but it didn't bother us too much). The house may have a lot of acres around, but it was confusing what was ours to wonder about on, or what may have been a neighbors property. If you don't mind an organic feel to things (i.e. untrimmed growth around the house, dry grass around the house, etc) this place could be for you. It was plenty large for our family of 6 adults, 2 small children, and an infant. The kiddo's loved having the play area upstairs and were quite happy all weekend long. We were able to erect a volleyball net out on one of the fields, and had some guests over to play volleyball - that was fun - and could never have been done in a motel parking lot!

Response from Alison:
We enjoyed your visit, and are sorry the grass was not greener and more lush. Your visit came at the end of a very dry summer, and the whole of Oregon is struggling with the hot dry weather. We're looking forward to the fall/winter rains! Sorry the property boundaries weren't more clear to you - there is perimeter fence around the 25 acres, and the whole farm is bordered by roads on all sides, so you would have had to cross a road to enter a neighbor's property. We welcome everyone to explore the grounds of the entire farm. Alison and Tom

This quiet farm house was perfect for our multi-generational family aged 9 months to 88 years for our family wedding that was just about 5 miles away. For the 8 adults, having 4 bedrooms with queen beds was perfect. 3 bathrooms were much appreciated for getting ready the day of the wedding. It was also nice to have a washer and dryer. We enjoyed coffee in the morning and wine in the afternoon on the sunny back deck. We also saw deer 2 of the mornings. The 3-yr old loved the gardens, the barn and the trains that went by about 1/4 mile away. It was very quiet and peaceful here, even the trains did not seem that loud. The hosts were very friendly and pleasant, but we never felt like they were in our space or disregarding our privacy.

Fantastic for our needs. We had two families with 5 kids total and stayed here comfortably. The living room is huge and we hosted a lunch for a couple dozen easily. The grounds are beautiful and mornings in the summer are serene. We saw deer, lots of birds, and the surrounding scenery is beautiful. Tom and Alison made our stay very comfortable and the kids enjoyed seeing Tom on the tractor farming in the fields. Highly recommended if you are looking for a beautiful area and a functional no-frills but comfortable home.

Beautiful home on a farm. The home was fully equipped with everything we needed. The deck overlooking the fields and local vegetation, flowers, barn...was a definite perk. Such a lovely and relaxing time walking around exploring. The front of the home with the waterfall and flowers, peaceful and beautiful. Lots of quiet on that giant deck along with lots of laughter together. We will cherish the memories we made there. Steve was very interesting and I chatted with him and his sweet dog Bella while he planted beans and corn. The beds were comfortable with one downstairs and quite a few up. We had two 20 somethings with us and they had the whole upstairs to sleep and chill and get ready for the day. Room for everyone. I would highly recommend this unique space to get away from it all.
