We are perfectly situated between Appleton and Green Bay. We are about a 20min drive to Lambeau Field. Close to everything but feel like you have escaped with this water river front home. Enjoy your private dock, beautiful sunsets. At night enjoy a warm soak in the large indoor or outdoor Jacuzzi tubs or a kayak ride on the Fox River. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), and big groups.

Nice and big with a lovely view of the water. The backyard felt like it's own oasis. Perfect fit for a gathering of ten!

Emily's place is in a beautiful and relaxing spot and we loved it. It is an easy drive to explore the surrounding areas. It is very spacious with everything needed for a hassle free stay. The pastries Emily left for us were appreciated.

The host is great at being available and communicating if guests have an issue, which we appreciated as we had several. This definitely isn't a property that family should go to if they have children wanting to enjoy the water. The river was very dirty with a fast undercurrent, and the small beach area was full of washed up garbage. Neighbors told us it definitely wasn't someplace they would let their kids play in and despite having a dock, they said it wasn't good for fishing. The trees around it were completely overgrown- our small children were actually playing on the end of the dock, and a large branch fell off the tree and adults had to drag it out of the way to get to them. Luckily no one was hurt. The host said they knew the trees needed to be trimmed but was waiting for someone to come out. It was upsetting they knew this was dangerous and needed to be addressed but didn't give us any indication when we checked in. The home itself was nice, large enough for a few families, but lacking some general items such as towels, etc. that I would've expected. And the little downtown that was mentioned in the posting is basically nonexistent. That was OK for us as we were looking for a very relaxing vacation, but if you are expecting to have any restaurants nearby you should know that they've all since closed. Over all the place was OK, but not what we were anticipating based on the description in the posting. We won't be back.

Response from Emily:
Dear Meghan, We are sorry that you did not have a 5 star experience during you stay with us. We will take your suggestions into consideration. I can tell you, however, that our own children fish in the river as do several other neighborhood children, they don't however keep the fish, they catch and release. The river is not swimmable but it is beautiful to sit on the dock and or deck and watch the surrounding wildlife, which at times can be breathtaking. I am not familiar with any washed up trash and find that description misleading. I am a bit offended about your description about our Little Chute downtown. It might not be New York City but is does have the feel of small town USA. Seth's Coffee Shop is an eclectic and popular destination and every Thursday Little Chute has a farmer's market which is quite unique with music and other happenings. When guests arrive we provide 16 towels. Our description of the home states that the home sleeps 10 comfortably. We feel 16 towels is adequate, we also provide laundry soap and fabric sheets if you feel the need to wash during your visit. As for restaurants it is true that Little Chute is not a mecca for restaurants but Appleton, an easy 10 -15 minutes down the road has plenty. We also provide an information guide for all our guests with recommendations for eateries in the surrounding area.
