About this listing

Located two minutes from I-5 and only a couple of blocks from old downtown Roseburg this light, open one bedroom apartment is set up for a few days visit or an extended stay.

The space

Please note:

There are railroad tracks directly on the other side of Pine Street. Two and sometimes three trains go past the building each way each day carrying lumber out of Roseburg and coming back empty. They typically come by 7 AM- 10 PM but occasionally there is a train in the middle of the night. We like trains and they don't bother us but some guests have been upset about the noise. If train noise is going to bother you it would be better if you find accommodations better suited to your needs. We like happy guests!

The kitchen is equipped with a stove, fridge, coffee maker, microwave and toaster, pots and pans, silverware, cups and glasses. Everything you'd need for an extended stay. The bed is made with high thread count cotton sheets and great pillows. We have a large art collection so there will always be art in the apartment.

Roseburg gets warm in the summer. This unit has two air conditioners; one in the living area and one in the bedroom.

There is ample free street parking.

We are experienced travelers and know the things that are nice to have in a place. It's our intention to have set the apartment up the way we'd like to see a place when we travel. There is an iron and an ironing board, some coffee for the first day, a few spices, olive oil, foil and other such things that are convenient to have. There is high speed wi-fi.

It's an wonderful old 1895 house by the railroad with a lot of character. The location on the river is amazing. The building is divided into four separate apartments all rented through Airbnb.

Jenny is a full time artist, Magnus a sometime photographer and long term patron of the arts.

Our intention is to give plenty of privacy but to be available if you need anything. You'll help yourself in to the apartment with a key in a lock box so if you don't want to meet us you can be completely on your own but we'll be reachable if you need anything.

This spot was perfect for the week I had planned. I highly recommend a trip out to this party of Oregon, and I highly recommend this Airbnb for the trip!

I stayed in the lower left flat, which was clean and spacious. There is a balcony with chairs and table facing the river side with a yard. The kitchen has the basics with a large table and island and a microwave and coffee pot. Wifi worked fine. The front faces a railroad track across the road, which to the left becomes a walking path along the river. There is a fence between the road and the tracks. It took me around 10 minutes to walk to downtown Roseberg; a Rite Aid pharmacy is practically across the street. The visitor's center is around the corner. Freeway access is good. While I was there a couple of trains came by (in five days). They produce a sort of low rumble and are fun to watch. I didn't hear anything at night and the train's sound is much diminished indoors; I didn't find it very annoying. Otherwise, I heard only birds. The flat is on the river, a bit out of the way, and a wonderful place to stay in Roseberg. I recommend it.

The house brought back memories of visiting my grandmother's many years ago! Very charming and immaculate, comfortable bed and spacious kitchen. River view from the back porch was amazing. It is close to the rail tracks in front, but the train only passed @10 and the noise was not an issue for me. Magnus and Jenny were great communicators & I had no problem with check-in. The location is fantastic to be able to walk to the city center historic shops and some really great eating options. In terms of driving, it only took a few minutes to get to any other part of town.
