The house is very comfortable for a family. The area is quiet, a little bit far from the center, but public transport is available. Deffinitely recommend.

Laurens and Nanda's place was very attractive, light and airy, comfortable and nicely-furnished. They were friendly and helpful and we had no problem in contacting them when we needed to speak to them. The area is a little away from the centre, quiet and residential though close to trains and trams. The bathroom is small but this seems to be usual in Amsterdam. We would definitely recommend this place for a comfortable stay.

Lovely, well set out apartment over 2 floors - sleeping arrangements worked out very well for us and our 2 young kids. Laurens is an excellent host, providing very useful printed info on the apartment and local amenities. He was very accommodating for us as we needed to check out late, very happy with the apartment and our stay in Amsterdam generally

Laurens was there to welcome us on arrival and was very friendly indeed, showing us maps of the area and suggesting places to eat and drink as well as explaining the public transport, etc. The area was lovely and quiet and out of the way but at the same time it was very easy to get in to town on the metro, a perfect balance. The flat itself was beautiful, light, and well equipped and we immediately felt at home. Laurens also left us a folder full of information about the house and the surrounding area which was very helpful during our stay. We especially enjoyed the roof terrace that was bathed in sunlight right through the day until the early evening, a perfect spot to relax between excursions in to central Amsterdam or off into the other neighborhoods. As you would expect, the place was easily accessible by all forms of transport including tram, metro and train, and was conveniently situated on cycle routes to all over the city. We had a great time in Amsterdam, made all the better by having such a lovely appartment to call home at the end of the day.

Had a great stay at Laurens place. It's in a nice neighbourhood, a couple of metro stops from the city centre or a 15 min cycle. We were met by Lauren at the apartment and shown everything we needed to know to get started exploring the city. The apartment was clean and had everything we could of needed. Would definitely recommend and book again on our next trip.

I really enjoyed staying in Lauren's family home. The benefit of the location was peace, the sound of the birds, the deck upstairs and balcony off the kitchen. Sometimes you hear other families or neighborhood music through the walls or outside, but I liked feeling part of that culture as opposed to the awful Red Light district culture we had been in previously. We loved the beautiful sun dappled tree view from the bedroom. There was lots of space, great kitchen with everything we needed to cook up meals including incredibly yummy wine gifted upon arrival! This is a family home, as opposed to an instant book hotel like place, so there are family photos, its lived in...but I liked that and it was clean and it was so nice for Laurens to say on the last day via text, don't worry about having to clean the place. Though it was not super close to the city center, it was around an 8 7-8 mins walk to the Amstel train station and easy to catch a taxi from there. It seemed Uber also was willing to come out to the area but it often took up to 10 minutes to get Uber. Overall, we were more than satisfied and would go back.
