The history and stories behind the home made this an incredible experience. Definitely needs updating but Michael and James are working on it and are great people.

Our party of 9 had an amazing weekend. Mike is so accommodating. The house is bursting with character. While renovations are still ongoing, the house is in good shape and so fun to explore. Our host was very knowledgeable and willing to talk about the history of the house. Breakfast was wonderful each morning. The location is perfect for hitting up all there is to do between Erie and Buffalo. We are looking forward to going back in the future to see the progress on the grounds.

What a cool place to stay! My husband and I (and our dog!) stayed at the Hamilton Mansion for a weekend getaway to celebrate our first anniversary. Michael and Jim were amazing hosts! When we arrived, we were given a tour of the mansion and invited to explore the home. We were the only guests staying there the first night, but Jim prepared a wonderful breakfast the next morning... eggs, pancakes, sausage, homemade bread, bagels, cereal fruit, juice, coffee and tea. Anything you would want, they had! We went for a hike in the Chautauqua Gorge State Forest. There were beautiful, well maintained trails and Michael was able to give us some options for which trail to start with. They also recommended the restaurant Pine Junction. We had lunch there on the patio with our dog (although they did mention, if anyone complains about dogs on the patio, you'll kindly be asked to leave). We planned to go to the wineries Saturday before dinner, but failed to notice that most of them close around 5 or 6 p.m. We did find one that stayed open until 8 p.m. (Sensory). Michael gave us several dinner options, and we tried out The Cork 1794 in North East, PA. Jim even watched our dog so we could enjoy a nice dinner out. Sunday morning were had another great breakfast when we woke up (there was a family of 3 staying there the second night, but we left Sunday morning before they got up). There is a shared bathroom upstairs, so that's one thing to note if there are others staying at the house. We never had any issues with that, though. There are also train tracks near the home, so that's worth knowing if you have any family members who are sensitive to noise. All in all, this house if a great place to stay, with lots of places to explore nearby!
