Very nice and warm family, we did not spend much time at home so we couldn't interact with them so much, but they were nice and friendly. The place is very clean and the only minus is the showers, the water do not run much and the shower in the private room was very very small together with the toilet.

maam.vivian is one of the most concerned host that we met.. we stayed there for4 days 3 nights.. bfast was free and she even gave us a lot.. though the place is quite far from the beach.. it makes up for its loving and concerned host.. place is clean..if you are a traveler on a budget definitely try this place

Moonlight is located a walking distance away from the busy market of General Luna, so it's really quiet most of the time. They offer free breakfast as well (sandwich with coffee) which is very delicious (coffee not that good though because sometimes they serve Nescafe 3 in 1, but you can request for something like Kopiko or just tea). They can offer most of the things you need to fully enjoy Siargao (surfing, island hopping, motorbikes for road trips, and more.) just ask Vivian (the very friendly host) for guidance. They have cozy rooms (ours was the room directly on top of their common area), but you might want to consider requesting for bigger beds (our double-sized bed was kinda ok, given that my wife and I are 5'1" in average. But you will find it very small especially if you are taller) We will definitely consider going back here.

Place was being upgraded / under construction on their 2nd floor so it might be a bit dusty. Give it several more weeks from the time of this review and I'm sure it's gonna be better. The place is good for big groups with a tight budget under 500php. Location might be a bit far from the main attractions but Vivian will make sure you get a ride and things you might need - she's very helpful and made sure I had a good stay.

My partner and I spent five nights at the Moonlight Hostel. The included breakfast sandwich (egg, pork, lettuce, tomato, and fried onion) and coffee (or ginger tea) is delicious. Vivian arranged a moped and surf board rental for us, and she had snorkeling gear that we rented for a day. We booked a few hours of surfing with her son, Eman, who took us to the Secret Spot and Jacking Horse surf spots (highly recommend Secret Spot for beginners). A moped or motorcycle with a rack is necessary if you want to do any surfing - Jacking Horse/Cloud 9 are about a ten-minute ride away and Secret Spot and G1 are at least 30 minutes away. Moonlight is close to a number of good spots for other meals, yoga, etc., including the Avocado Tree and Kermit's. Bravo and La Calinderia are longer walks or ten-minute moto rides away. The road that the Homestay is on is fairly quiet and low traffic. Vivian did laundry for us as well.

Such a great place to stay in Siargao. Very affordable and what I love the most is ho accommodating the host was. Vivian's hospitality was awesome. They also provide free breakfast. We'll definitely stay here again when we get back in Siargao.

I am Filipino woman, trying make my home as lovely as possible. I really like to prepare foods and sometimes I cook dinner not only for my family members, but for my guests too. I love to see people enjoying their stay at our place. I can say, every guest is my new family member.
