David and his wife were great! Breakfast was ready in the morning, snacks and water were provided, and they were more than accommodating for our larger group. Would definitely stay again!

This was my first Air BnB experience, and it was exceptional. David and Linda were extremely warm and thoughtful hosts. Their home was beautiful, clean, and comfortable. And they're adorable golden retrievers were delightful! We had such and nice time and would absolutely come again if we're in the Portland area. They went above and beyond to provide a true bed & breakfast experience.

Quite friendly landlords and cute dogs. The two rooms are nice and clean. The landlords prepared delicious breakfast for us (yummy waffles with blueberry jam). Nice talk with the landlords to learn information about Portland. Awesome choice for airbnb in Portland.

This was my first AirB&B stay and as such I was apprehensive. I had expectations but I certainly didn't know what to expect. David and Linda were extremely communicative and welcoming to their beautiful home! They were helpful and available when necessary, they had great knowledge of the area and offered so many great suggestions to us, they gave us our space when we needed it, and were flexible when it came to our itinerary. They have certainly set the bar high for other AirB&B locations

Great hosts. We felt like we were staying with family. Close to public transportation and had off street parking . The rooms were very clean. They even unexpectedly made us breakfast which was outstanding. Would definitely recommend to others and stay again in the future. Ask about sharing a meal with them Linda is a fabulous chef.

We stayed at Dave and Linda's awesome house in Portland on our way up to Seattle. After driving 8 long hours, the great welcome that they provided and the comfortable arrangements in the two bedrooms were just perfect for us to relax. The place was extremely neat and clean. Dave and Linda also helped us with recommendations for things to do in Portland and how to get there. The cherry on top of this experience was the great, hot breakfast that was waiting for us in the morning! Dave was kind enough to serve us, as well as entertain us with stories as we ate! We did not feel like strangers in their house, but like friends visiting them. I highly recommend Dave and Linda's house to anyone looking for an airbnb in Portland!

David User ProfileDavid is a superhost.

Young aerospace engineer retired from the Boeing Co. after 30 years of supporting our US Army and Air Force troops with the latest technology to bring them home safe. I'm a DYI'er that can tackle almost any task. I enjoy walking with my wife Linda and my two dogs at all the parks and National Forests in SE Portland. My extensive international travel experience while working for the Boeing Co. in Saint Louis has afforded me with an appreciation of different cultures and people with diverse viewpoints into the world around us. Linda is a professional chef and Registered Dietitian that also teaches Nutrition at Portland Community College. Linda has extensive experience with over 30 years in the food hospitality industry. She has owned and operated a gourmet bakery and worked at multiple resorts in Phoenix AZ as Executive Chef and Pastry Chef. Linda currently has a published e-cookbook highlighting her experience as a chef cooking class instructor. All recipes in the book are fully tested and easy to prepare to perfection. Linda earned her BS in Nutrition from ASU and MS in Food science from Kansas State University. Our dream is to Open the Gold Dog Bistro and Distillery (dog friendly) somewhere in the SE section of Portland. We will be pursuing this dream in 2017. We enjoy entertaining and cooking great gourmet meals for our friends and guests. Dinner is available to our guests on a cost sharing basis, you won't have to do the dishes. :-)
