It is one of the most original parts of Lisbon's historical center, a great place to listen to Fado, or ramble around the narrow streets. The apartment is located on the São Vicente hill, a 5-minutes walk from the train station Santa Apolónia (trains, metro, buses, and cabs). You can also find parking nearby, but thanks to the great location everything can easily be reached by foot.

The neighbourhood is a quieter area but very close to places with more movement and vast culinary options. Nearby you'll be able to admire the most spectacular views over the city, from the Viewpoints (Miradouro) de Santa Luzia, near downtown, the Castle of São Jorge, the Viewpoints Portas do Sol, Graça and Senhora do Monte, just a few minutes walking from the house. Also various museums and monuments can be reached by foot, for example the São Jorge Castle, the Sé Cathedral, the Azulejo Museum, the Ruins of the Carmo Cloisters, the Roman Theatre as far as various theatres (Nacional, Opera) and cinemas. Other famous sights as the Tower of Belem or the Cathedral of Jeronimos can be easily reached by public transport or a cheap taxi ride. Famous nighlife areas like Bairro Alto, Bica or Cais do Sodré are just a scenic 15-20 minutes walk away too!
In the neighborhood you can find very typical restaurants with Fado, small cafes, bars and unique little shops. There are several banks, pharmacies, supermarkets, shops, shopping centers in short walking distance as well.
