About this listing
We are both musicians and retired. We share our home with a medium-sized mellow dog named Marley. Our quiet neighborhood is within a mile of restaurants and dining, nightlife, family-friendly activities, lovely walks and 15 minutes from quaint, cultural Ashland and historic Jacksonville and a day trip to Crater Lake. Enjoy our hot tub and deck and front patio. Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.
Your own bedroom and bath are private and quiet at the opposite end of the house from our space. You won't hear us and we won't hear you. You will sleep on a new Serta Abbeywood Plush Euro Pillowtop queen mattress with cool, comfy bamboo sheets, a cozy comforter and lots and lots of pillows. A ceiling fan will keep you cool in addition to our central air conditioning. Enjoy the desk space and a power strip on each side of the bed to charge your devices. The bathroom has a tub/shower so do enjoy some bath salts and a relaxing bath after your travels. Shampoo and body wash are there for your use along with fluffy towels and more towels and robes in the bedroom closet when you enjoy the hot tub in the back yard.
We are conveniently located halfway between the Portland area and the San Francisco Bay Area off of Interstate 5 for those who are looking to break up a longer trip. Medford can also be your primary destination since the Rogue Valley offers many opportunities for outdoor adventure, dining, wine tasting, theater, music and other entertainment. We can offer some dining and entertainment suggestions.
The hot tub and front and back deck/patio are available for your use. Laundry services available for a nominal fee at the house. The kitchen is available for a daily continental breakfast with home made banana bread, yogurt, a variety of cereals plus home made granola, orange juice and of course coffee from a Keurig coffee maker with a variety of coffee, teas and hot chocolate with a variety of milk choices. Please use the microwave to heat/reheat your food. We have an electric car charger in our garage that we'd be happy to share with any EV car owners. The DVD player in the living room is available to watch your own DVDs or look through our extensive collection.
We have 2 pairs of snow shoes, poles and cross country skis we will let you use if you want to try some winter activities in some of our beautiful areas.
In the summer months we will let you use our canoe to enjoy some of the beautiful mountain lakes in the area.
Interaction with guests
We are open to interacting with you and having a cup of coffee, breakfast or wine or letting you enjoy the peace and quiet here. We are available to answer any questions about the area regarding restaurants, coffee houses, entertainment and outdoor activities.
Other things to note
We can arrange wine tasting tours for you to some of the many fine wineries in the area including the Applegate Valley. Since we are both musicians we can offer suggestions about live music in the area. We usher at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival (OSF) and can help you with tickets and plays. Don't miss the free, nightly Green Show an hour before the plays begin at OSF.
No additional overnight guests and quiet time after 10 pm. No smoking in the house and no fire arms please.
