Hi Ashley. Thank you very much for your thorough review. Id like to take the opportunity to respond and provide some clarity. Firstly, i hope for those reading this that they are aware that this is an isolated incident because I have been running my airbnb for over 2 years and have never received a review of this nature. Your review here will be the first of such kind. I take all reviews seriously and will take it as a learning lesson for the future.
1) Towels: I sincerely apologize that the towels were not folded and placed on your bed as is normally done for guests. You checked in the same day another guest check out. I am so sorry, this was simply an oversight during the housekeepers turnaround. My cohost was at work and unable to drive back home to pull out the towels from the dryer hence why i asked you if you could wait just a bit for her to get home or if you could kindly pull them from the dryer (I would not have asked if the dryer wasn't in close proximity, directly outside of your room).
- 2) Cleanliness: This is the first i have ever heard of this in my history of running this airbnb. Please view prior reviews. I have never left this room/bathroom in a filthy manner as you described. It is simply an inaccurate review/ poor taste of words. I confirmed with my housekeeper that the bathroom had been cleaned and detailed as usual prior to your arrival. She denies that you received it in a filthy manner. However, i will not and did not discredit your personal standards, all i could do was make a bad situation right. I believe i did this. You sent me a text on the 2nd day of your stay. My response was to immediately give you a credit for the inconvenience & contact my housekeeper and re-book her to come back to the property and re-clean. Irregardless of my thoughts, i took the financial loss/responsibilty and sent her back out at 7am next morning because she couldn't come back that same day due to short notice. In conclusion, I paid $50 for my housekeeper to come back and clean just your bathroom and I issued you a refund of $50 as promised for the inconvenience.
I apologize for your discomfort during your stay and I believe I did my very best to accommodate you as quickly as i could, while out of town. I do wish you the best on your future travels.
