We spent 2 nights at Steph's place and all was well as described with free parking; a lovely clutter free and spacious flat. It's suitably located and a short walk will get you to all you need. Would surely recommend!

We left within 30 minutes of arrival and checked into a hotel. The unit was a stuffy sweatbox - it was well over 30 degrees celsius and no air conditioning. Just not bearable. We also saw a drug deal taking place just outside the home as soon as we arrived! The neighborhood does not give you a safe feeling. The fridge had leftover food from previous guests. And be ready to climb seven flights of stairs to get to the unit! Not fun especially if traveling with kids!

Response from Stephanie:
I'm very sorry to read this Bianca. The unit (our home) does not state on the Airbnb listing to have air conditioning, what we do have are seven windows that can be opened. We can't control the weather and unfortunately (or fortunately for us) you arrived on the hottest weekend of the year. The temperature doesn't often reach 30 degrees in London, but when it does - we're grateful for some warmth & sunshine. In the 11 years I've lived in London, I have never seen a drug deal taking place. Sounds like you have been incredibly unlucky to witness this. Walthamstow is a young family neighbourhood & I have never felt unsafe living here. There were no previous guests, the leftover fridge food was actually me being kind - I thought you'd appreciate not having to buy butter, milk & filtered water when you were only here for the weekend - so I left them in the fridge. Climbing seven flights of stairs is quite a stretch, we're on the 2nd floor & I count a total of three flights of stairs. I'm mindful that you had a child and details were noted in the PDF I sent you before arrival. We've had previous families who have not found the stairs a problem. Again, I'm incredibly sorry to read this. I hope your hotel was everything you were looking for & you enjoyed your trip to London.

Nice spacious flat with added bonus of parking space. Great location, particularly for us as very close to our family, but also close to all transport services for central London. Walthamstow is an interesting area with lots to offer. Stephanie was very helpful and prompt with her responses.

Steph was a brilliant host. She really welcomed us on our arrival and answered and dealt with any queries promptly. The flat is very cosy and has a lovely homely feel to it. It was perfect for a family of four to stay in.

Hello, Steph's from West Wales (11 yrs in London) and Dean's from South London. We've both lived in lovely Walthamstow for over 2 years and absolutely love it.

We both love to travel and use Airbnb whenever we can (Japan, Mexico, Wales, Thailand, Lisbon, Croatia...) - it's a brilliant way to meet locals, to feel like you're living in a new place and a great way to save a few pennies. We also love welcoming guests into our home - it's a lovely, easy way to meet great people.

I work in marketing and coaching, Dean designs website and apps. Weekends are spent exploring new areas (we love the South Bank and Epping Forest), coffee & cake with friends, at exhibitions, or working on personal projects. If we can help with anything at all, please ask away.
