the room at susan's house is lovely, as is her lovingly decorated home and the beautiful and conveniently located neighborhood in which it sits. susan is a friendly and helpful hostess. we enjoyed chatting with her and would have enjoyed more conversation had we spent more time in tupelo. we will definitely stay here again if tupelo should call us back!

We have stayed in Airbnbs in Europe and the U. S. and have found both lovely accommodations and warmly amicable hosts, but our experience with Susan's lodging was unique. Having booked her bedroom in "comfy quarters" well in advance of our stay, as we were planning for a cross-country drive from New England through the South to visit our daughters in Austin and San Francisco, we received a message from Susan shortly before our scheduled arrival saying that she would be away that weekend on a trip (our hearts almost sank on the news, until we read on). Susan expressed her regrets at not being able to meet us, but then calmly stated that on the other hand, we would have "the whole house" to ourselves. In an act of extraordinary generosity and commitment to her offer, she let it be known that she would provide for our entry and gave us instructions on what to do upon our departure. What followed was a series of communications between us over the next few days and even through the very day of our arrival that covered all manner of matters, questions, and developments along the way. In addition, we began to comfortably exchange various short (URL HIDDEN) about each others travels and ourselves. When we arrived at the property it seemed as natural as coming to our own vacation home. Everything was as Susan had described and arranged, and the place itself was a lovely ornate brick house on a circle drive of stately homes amidst old shade trees. Susan is clearly a gifted decorator, sophisticated art collector, and active individual of multiple interests. While our situation is not one that is highly likely to be repeated, even the opportunity to stay at Susan's while she is there would be a gracious and relaxing visit for anyone who enjoys comfort and ease. Though we've never met her, we feel in a very real way that we not only know Susan, but have made a great new friend. Laird & Françoise Ellis

Clean beautiful home in good location off highway. Comfortable beds but bedrooms were on 2nd floor. After arrival were told we had a $10.00 cleaning charge. Host did not make note to herself that we had a reservation so when we called to give her our ETA she was surprised that we had a reservation.

A beautiful neighborhood, a warm friendly host, immaculately clean accommodations in a nice little town. A wonderful place to stay.

Susan is one of the finest hosts we've ever had. We had to travel to Tupelo last-minute for a family emergency and she was incredibly kind and went out of her way to make us feel at-home. I would only hope that when my wife and I host we could be as hospitable as her. The house is beautiful and well curated/appointed. It is in one of the most unique neighborhoods in Tupelo and is very close to downtown. In a city that has suffered much suburbanization and white flight, staying there was a reminder of the inherent old-school charm of the city.
