This is an heavily renovated old home with fun quirks that will attract those who appreciate quality craftsman design.
Our place is on 2 acres of land, close to the center of Woodstock. You can walk from the NYC bus stop to the home in 12 min, drive to the nearest mountain hiking trail in 3 min, and drive to the town swimming hole in 5 min! You get the best of rural and small town living at our home. We are in walking distance to all the best bars and restaurants Woodstock has to offer.
The house is about 125 years old and just recently underwent a major renovation with over 90% of the house being updated. If you like craftsman detail, then you'll love our house! We have over 2,400 sqft of interior space and over 600 sqft of deck space for you to enjoy.
We have three second floor bedrooms and a converted attic with 2 bedrooms for you to use. The first and second floors each have a full bathroom. We have 2 AC units that can be put into any bedroom upon your request.
Please give us the correct headcount because the third floor will be locked and unheated/cooled when not in use. Also, I know the mobile app doesn't make bed type/location clear. The house has 1 King bed in the master bedroom. The second bedroom has a queen bed. The third bedroom has a twin bed. The living room has a foldout (gel mattress, it is very comfortable) couch. The attic has 2 overflow bedrooms we use for groups. One bedroom has a king bed and a blow up mattress and the other has a queen bed.
You can feel free to go into any room of the house but I would avoid the basement. It is where the mechanicals are and people have accidentally tripped the safety shut off switches for the furnace and hot water heater before.
There is a 600 sqft deck off the side/back of the home with seating around a fireplace and a gas grill for you to use. The deck faces a wooded area and our formal garden. The formal garden has a stone patio with seating as well. Also, a portion of the backyard is fenced in which makes it perfect for dogs!
Interaction with guests
You can text/call me at anytime. I am free to offer any recommendations that you'll need.
Other things to note
The third floor has a separate heating system that will need to be turned on when you arrive. If you are staying during cold weather months I will give you these instructions before you arrive.
- You are free to smoke outside. Just be aware that one of the owners is allergic to cigarette smoke and act accordingly.
- If you are bringing a dog, try and not let them use the formal garden area. The rest of the backyard is fenced in for dogs to use.
