My place is close to The Richland Riverfront Trail, Hanford Site, city parks, and the Uptown Shopping Center. You’ll love it here because of the coziness and the use of the whole downstairs apartment common space. This space is good for couples, families, solo adventurers, and business travelers.

The things I wish I knew before booking this place— 1. Location blows 2. DOGS- host dog and neighbors on both sides have dogs that didn’t shut up every time we were coming in and out for the 10 min we were there. The host dog, Jack, was a sweet dog but we also had to make sure h…

Response from Carolyn:
Hi Cathy, this is pretty shocking to me since I've never heard this kind of feedback, but it's your experience so I apologize for how this experience went for you. In your note, location was the only thing you communicated to us as to why you weren't staying. I got the note after the weekend was over so I trusted you hadn't wanted communication since you said that's why you left and you didn't use text or the website. I wondered why you hadn't reached out on the Airbnb site. I would have responded for sure. I don't live at the house, but host along with Kevin. You said you didn't want a refund also on the note, as you wrote here. Location is something we expect people to figure out before they come. Usually people use this space for a Hanford job, family visit or University work. Your event was 20 min away so that's unfortunate that you didn't research beforehand. We write about the dogs on the listing and about our efforts to make that work, however the barking is a nuisance for sure when people are coming and going. This is a $65 a night airbnb, but I realize there are some extra charges the site adds. For two full bedrooms and the whole downstairs, it's a fair price. If you want to be really specific you got there before I could move the car and you were a few minutes early, but honestly seeing how you viewed your experience, I don't think I really need to justify this. I work, and try to get to the location before the guests. I recommended you stay in high end Airbnb's or hotels and not in homes, as life is happening in homes. We open our homes to travelers and have never had a negative review. Good luck finding a better match in the future.

Oh thank you for letting us know! I didn't realize that happened, so I'll ask Kevin if they can be adjusted as to where they hit or if watering times can at least be posted! Wonderful to have hosted for you!

Our stay was very pleasant. We didn't have much interaction with the hosts as we were gone most of the time at the Tumbleweed Folk Festival, and were really only there to sleep. Everything was clean and neat. The beds were comfortable for us, the shower very adequate, the kitc…

We had a great stay on our way for a Hanford tour. The space is like a separate downstairs apartment, with lots of privacy. The hosts were very responsive, and had an array of breakfast foods, which was very nice. I would highly recommend!
