The space

Efter en tur på stan eller en promenad på Långholmen vill du kanske koppla av framför brasan på ditt rum. Vårt boende passar par, ensamäventyrare och affärsresenärer.

Guest access

Other things to note

There is literally nothing I can do, but praise Frieda´s and Matti´s place. During our trip to Stockholm we had absolutely everything we needed: a beautiful, quiet room for the two of us, that was indeed very close to public transport (just as mentioned in the description), with Wifi access, a private restroom with a toilet and a sink, a very nice fireplace and a comfy couch. Both our hosts were very friendly, communicative and eager to assist in any way possible whenever we had a question or wish. The flat itself is situated in a light yellow house just below the main line of orange buildings, that you might see when entering (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) Streetview, so it's fairly easy to find the place, when you know what you're looking for! There are several restaurants and shops near Hornstull station, where you can get all sorts of groceries and snacks. All there's really left to say is, we had a wonderful time thanks to Frieda and Matti being such great hosts to us and would certainly come back once we decided to visit Stockholm again!

I just stayed at Frida's home last weekend and it was beyond my expectations. The room looks great in photos but don't really fully represent how amazing the room/apartment is in real life. The room is so enormous that it feels like a studio apartment by itself. The fireplace was aesthetically and practically helpful during our stay during the cold dark winter time. Frida and the family are so nice, friendly and beautiful just like this place. As this was my first trip to Stockholm, I am so happy that I got to stay at Frida's place since it really felt like a true Scandinavian home.

I really liked the history of the apartment, imagine living in the house where dynamite was invented. The apartment is really nicely renovated and maintaining the flair of the history. The bed might be a bit tight for two persons but was fine for me on my business trip.

I am an AirBnB Host, and have had quite a few guests in various apartments in NYC. Frida's place is beyond words. the pictures do not justify the livingspace, and in my honest opinion, its a tremendous value for AirBnB. Firstly, Heleneborg (the flat) is an estate on Södermalm, a part of the city of Stockholm, Sweden. It is opposite Långholmen island. The property was bought in 1669 by Jonas Österling and was used by the Swedish tobacco manufacturing company for tobacco. It has recently been converted to a residential flat, with only 2 tenants occupying the entire 1st and 2nd floor. (possibly a 3rd on the 3rd floor, but i never confirmed). Yes, i repeat, they have an entire floor of a converted historic tobacco warehouse in Stockholm. They must have won the lottery to acquire such a location. To give you an idea of how expansive this place is, while you are renting a "private room", it feels as though you are renting an entire floor. With Frida and her Family residing primarily in what i can only describe as the "east wing", and yourself in the "west wing" of the WhiteHouse. (yes, its that big). It honestly should be listed as a private home as it takes effort to find the hosts. And when you do run into them, they are the most welcoming family of hosts i've met. period. I've traveled quite a bit, and met quite a few hosts, and i can honestly say, that if i could give 10 Stars instead of only 5, i would rate this stay 20 stars. I hope I get to stay again before they realize the value of their hospitality offering so that i maybe can afford to stay there.
