You’ll love our place because of the location. It is just five minutes at idle boat speed to Charlotte Harbor. It is only six miles to "The Tarpon Capital of the World", Boca Grande Pass. Get your "Grand Slam" of plentiful Snook, Redfish and Trout. Use our boat ramp and tie your boat to the dock. Use our Kayaks to paddle the
"Blue Way Trail" in Jug Creek. Dolphins, manatee, osprey and pelicans abound. It is less than a 5 minute walk to a ferry to Cayo Costa and Cabbage Key.

A very lovely escape from the real world. It is well situated on the island and on the canal. We comfortably slept our family of five for the week. Karen is the ideal host. She is welcoming and available when you need her. We enjoyed the kayaks and fished very near the house, catching trout, snook and snapper. As mentioned in other reviews, the bottom level is occupied by the host's daughter but she seems to quietly come and go. Overall we were pleased with our trip.

A wonderful property with all of the amenities needed for Island Life! Having the Cayo Costa Ferry and Jug Creek Marina near by was a great peek into island life! Plenty of room for 4-6 people. The Owners are nearby for assistance with questions. Cannot wait to come back!

This is our second time to spend Christmas in the area. The house is spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The kitchen is complete, with witch we well enjoyed seafood. The owner is a very nice and helpful couple, sharing their knowledge and experience on the island with us. We also paddled their kayaks around the bay, which is big, beautiful and quiet. The house is close to Tropical Star Ferry to Cayo Costa State Park, a very pristine and wonderful island. The ferry also sells fresh grouper, snapper, pompano, shrimp, and so on, great for seafood lovers. We would love to come back again!

My husband, David, and I love the Island life. Island Time exists here with wildlife and sea life surrounding us. Sitting on the deck watching the tropical sunsets is a nightly treat. We enjoy the local restaurants and art galleries. David loves to fish the back bays for snook and redfish and fishing for Tarpon in Boca Grande Pass.I love to kayak and bike ride. There is a bike path along the 18 length of Pine Island. Our favorite places to travel are North Shore, Hawaii and Paris, France. We love jazz and blues music.
