An airy and light-filled lakefront home, this gorgeous space is perfect in any season. Spend a colorful Fall day kayaking, fishing, golfing at one of two PGA courses, hiking local trails. Cook a gourmet meal in a beautiful kitchen, or have a bonfire & throw dinner on the grill. Visit attractions like the Flight 93 Nat'l Memorial and Mtn Ridge ATV trails. In the winter, walk from your doorstep to go ice fishing, snow shoeing, or cross country skiing. Great for families, retreats, & small parties

The space

30 miles from Hidden Valley and Seven Springs ski resorts

The garage has been turned into a kid-friendly game room with arcade games (see pictures), big screen TV with an Xbox 360, leather couches and fridge

A double bunk room (4 beds total) with TV on the same floor as the master bedroom and third living room

A grill and picnic table with benches is available on the outside patio, through the sliding glass doors of the basement-level living room. In the yard near the grill is a fire pit and wood for bonfires

There is a rowing machine in the garage for a light workout

2 kayaks with paddles are available for guest use between the months of April and October- you can walk from the rear of the house down to the property's boat launch

The upper level deck overlooking Indian Lake has a picnic table with benches for a great, relaxing view

Guest access

The entire house is yours for the duration of your stay, including the yard leading down to the boat launch. The Gazebo and fire pit/chairs at the boat launch are also available for use (seasonal).

2 kayaks with paddles are available for guest use, stored in the garage (April - October).

The gas fireplace in the main living room is available for use. The fireplaces in the second and third living rooms are decorative and we request guests do not use these.

Interaction with guests

Access to the house is by a keypad. The code is changed between guests, and I send it 5-7 days before you arrive. My default is to let people check in privately with their unique code. But, if you prefer, you can schedule to be checked in by me in person after 8am.

We are always available by phone/text/email to help with questions about tourism/area sites and attractions, or to help with supplies. We have caretakers available to help with plumbing/heating emergencies, as well as snow removal during winter months.

Other things to note

***PLEASE BRING YOUR ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES WITH YOU!*** In Pennsylvania, beer is sold at beer distributors and liquor/wine is sold at state stores. You will not find alcohol at the gas station or grocery store. There are bars/restaurants to drink in nearby but if you want to enjoy your drinks at home, the nearest state store and beer distributors are 18 miles away (about a 30-minute drive one way from this house). For shorter stays, bringing your wine/beer/liquor/groceries will save you a lot of time. The Alley bar is only a couple of miles and will sell 6 packs to-go, but not at a discounted price (if they charge $3/beer, a six pack will be $18).

***PLEASE TEXT OR SEND AN AIRBNB MESSAGE WHEN YOU CHECK IN AND WHEN YOU CHECK OUT*** We love being able to offer the privacy that goes with a keypad entry, but this requires good communication from our guests so we can be confident in the safety and care of our homes. This also allows us to coordinate our cleaning service. A quick and short message will do just fine- we know you want to settle in and enjoy!

We ask that all guests take perishable (i.e. kitchen) garbage to the bins outside the garage on checkout. If your bags won't fit in the cans, you can put them in the garage so wildlife can't tear them open. Please also take/throw away any perishable groceries you brought with you when you leave, and make sure dishes are done or being done in the dishwasher on leaving.

Lock all doors and turn off any space/electric heaters, gas fireplaces, etc., on checkout.

Finally, please do not request to bring your pet. Our spaces are listed as pet-free because pet hair is very difficult to remove. So, regardless of how well-trained, all pets present this problem and are not allowed. Thank you for your consideration!

This property was perfect for our multiple family gathering! Even inclement weather conditions did not crowd us into an unhappy mood. There are many things to do inside in separate areas AND a spacious well furnished kitchen for all the different requests. When the weather finally cleared, we enjoyed the amineties by the lake while kayaking and fishing. We're ALL happy! Thank you Andi for being a wonderful host.

This cabin is amazing! The location is excellent and the amenities provided make it well worth the money. With plenty of room to spread out and numerous bathrooms, this cabin was perfect for our large group of 14 people.

This is an absolutely spectacular home inside and out on a terrific lake. The lake view from the deck is beautiful. The home is decorated very fashionably and has five nice size bedrooms, three living rooms, a good size kitchen and a deck with a million dollar view! There are two kayaks to use on the lake and you can easily rent a boat at the marina and tie the boat up on the dock which is just a short walk from the deck of the home. There are also skis and a tube you can use. The home is well supplied with pillows and blankets, bed sheets, bath towels and just about everything you might need. Andi has thought of every detail! We had a quick response from Andi to every question. There is a great fire pit down by the dock near the water. Our family had a fantastic time at Andi's place and we all plan to go back!

Beautiful and spacious home. There was ample room for everyone and plenty of seating areas throughout the home. We really appreciated that many supplies were included in our stay. The walk to the lake has plenty of steps; although we enjoyed the exercise, the walk is not for everyone. I would recommend renting a pontoon boat if you would like to see more of the lake. We did appreciate that we were on a less traveled area of the lake so were not as worried about the teens taking the kayaks out. The adults had plenty of space to sit in the shade and in the sun at the edge of the lake to keep an eye on the kids. We brought bikes and the teens enjoyed bike riding on the lightly traveled roads.

This place is truly spectacular. The house is in great condition, spactious, clean and beautiful! The outside may even be better, with an amazing view of the lake and quick access as well. We enjoyed renting a boat and picking up our crew from the private dock at the house and spending time by the outdoor fire pit on the water. This is a must rent.

Setting: We loved the setting of this house. It is a walk down to the lake, and our older quests (75-85) did not want to walk down the steps or down the sloping path to the beautiful lake front, as shown in the photos. We had a bon fire and used the kayaks as well. It is a stony wade into the water so kids should wear water shoes. Or you can jump off the dock, -the water gets deep. On the street side of the house is a public golf course that is well kept and challenging. It was Arnold Palmer’s first golf course design! Bring your clubs! The hilly road is great for walking, biking, jogging and strollers, and we did it all. We rented a pontoon boat for 4 hours from the local marina. House: Lots to do with a game room, DVD players, 3 separate living rooms. Beautiful deck facing the lake for meals outdoors. There is a small gas grill for cooking outside. No bedroom had a private bath, all 3 1/2 baths were in the hallways, so plan to share. There is one main floor bedroom, two upstairs and two down. One down had a king and the other had two bunk beds, a double on the bottom and a twin up. The room is very small, and best suited for kids. If you need it for adults, I suggest you use the double on the bottom for one person only. We requested a crib and a full size one was provided. Washer and dryer available and detergent provided. Stock: Bring as many groceries as you need because the store is a good 35 minute drive one way- in Somerset. The host provided a LOT of items for our convenience! THANK YOU. The host communicated well and responded to any texts quickly.

Andi User ProfileAndi is a superhost.

As a traveler: I'm an avid traveler who's lived all over, and I love a local experience! I host full-time in Western PA so I show my rentals lots of love and leave them very clean

As a host: We have two fantastic vacation homes that we use less as we travel more, and what better way to hold onto these houses than to share them with other people/families looking for new adventures! Both houses were designed with kids in mind, but are also perfect for romantic getaways and tour groups.

As seasoned travelers who've endured a bad stay or two, we understand that when you book your travel lodging, you're trusting your host to offer you a beautiful, comfortable, and hospitable space to share with your loved ones.

With this in mind, we're offering flexible check-in policies, cleanliness, amenities, attention to detail, and special accommodations. We live within 45 minutes of our listed properties and are just a text/email/phone call away.

Thank you so much for considering booking one of our homes. We hope you'll love them as much as we do!
