Calm residential area one street away from main street: you are not in Johannesburg, no fences, no barb wires in Franschhoek!
No noise. Lots of trees. Stroll 3 minutes and you are in the middle of grapes, peaches and other green stuff.
Everything is within easy reach by foot or a very short drive away: restaurants, bars, groceries, wine estates etc
