*Now with A/C*
Next door to Tipple Tree Guesthouse (the managers), AJ Palms is on the beach with 3 rentals each with a separate entrance.
Almond apt is close to restaurants, groceries, and is an ideal base for tours around the area. It is located on a lovely beach with shady palms - in a Garifuna fishing village.
Hopkins is a beach village that gives you access to kayaking, snorkeling, diving the barrier reef, jungle treks, and Mayan ruins.
9% Belize Gov tax is collected upon check-in.
The Almond is an upstairs one bedroom apartment, it features a breakfast bar, stove, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, and all the basic cooking equipment needed to prepare your own meals.
The bedroom is furnished with a queen size bed, ceiling fan, and twin bed. The bathroom is tiled with hot shower.
The apartment is cooled with fans in the daytime, you have a screened door (with bars) that brings the sea breeze through the apartment. At night you have the A/C.
Your spacious balcony overlooks the Caribbean Sea, which is perfect for viewing the sunrise.
Interaction with guests
I live next door and own a small 4 room guesthouse. I have almost 20 years experience of Belize and, if you wish, I am happy to help you with village information and tour recommendations.
Other things to note
9% Belize government tax will be paid in cash upon check-in.
A/C is during night hours only.
Daytime a/c can be purchased for $10US a day, but we don't think you'll need it as the breeze off the sea is usually perfect for cooling the apartment.
AJ Palms does not allow guests to have visitors in the apartment who are not part of the original booking.
A/C is for night hours only.

I am the owner and manager of Tipple Tree Beya Guesthouse since 1998 and I've managed AJ Palms Apartments since 2014.
I'm British by birth, and naturalized Belizean by choice.
I lived in Germany, off and on, for 10 years before moving to Belize. I am fairly good at speaking German, but I'm not all that great at writing it - I am willing to try though.
I've always felt that when I rent out my rooms and apartments that it is like renting out a part of my home, hopefully my guests get to feel the same way when they stay.
