Location is amazing and area felt very safe. All major sights are within walking distance. We were met by Giorgio, who was very helpful and answered all our questions. The apartment was comfortable and especially great having the second bathroom. Lots of restaurants and cafe's nearby. We will be back!

Communication was excellent. Dorotea was very helpful and quickly responded to email queries before our visit. She arranged for a driver with a van to take us to and from the airport which was very helpful. We were met at the apartment by her colleague Giorgio, a very nice young man who provided a map, an excellent overview of central Rome, nearby restaurants, and transportation options, and gave us a quick tour of the neighborhood including a nearby grocery store. He responded very quickly when the hot water boiler needed to be reset. The apartment is in a wonderful location (5 min walk to the beautiful Piazza Navona) on a charming cobblestone side street (Via della’Orso) with some excellent cafes and restaurants. The apartment is within easy walking distance of most of the major attractions in central Rome including the Piazza Navona, Campo de Fiori, the Pantheon, beautiful churches with amazing art, Trevi Fountain, the Spanish steps, Castel Sant’Angelo, and the Tiber River. It is only about a 15 min walk to St. Peter’s and the Vatican Museums, and only about a 25 min walk to the Colosseum and Roman Forum. A fantastic location! A taxi stand at the Piazza Navona provided easy access to other attractions including the Galleria Borghese, the Catacombs, Ostiense, and from there a metro ride to the wonderful ruins of Ostia Antica. The apartment itself is on the second floor (no elevator) of a very old building which added to its charm. It was of adequate size for 4 of us including two teenagers and included a sofa bed as well as two bedrooms. Although the furnishings were rather spartan and sparse, its two modern bathrooms were a very positive feature. Overall its fantastic location provided an excellent Roman experience.

Dorotea send us a lovely guy who let us in the apartment and gave a tour. He had a map of Rome and marked all places for us and gave recommendations even for restaurants. He was patient and answered all our questions. The place is very centrally located with a 3 minute walk to Piazza Novana. The only thing I felt was that this apartment is a little smaller from what it looks in pictures.

We were met by Giorgio instead of Dorotea. Giorgio was great showing us round the apartment and how everything worked and also some local tips like bus numbers and a great gelateria. The apartment was great for us (2 adults and 2 kids). It is very old (think Giorgio said 300 years) and the decor in the bedrooms was a little tired. The location however was fantastic. We walked pretty much everywhere even with 2 small kids. Piazza Navona was 2 minutes away the Vatican maybe 15 minutes. There were some lovely little restaurants in the street or just round the corner. A previous review had said everything felt like it was 10 minutes away which is how it felt to us. Despite being so close to Piazza Navona it was extremely quiet at night, quiet enough to sleep with the window open. Thanks for letting us stay Dorotea and thanks to Giorgio for his tips. We loved Rome.

We enjoyed our stay near Piazza Navona. The apartment was clean and well-equipped. We were greeted by a friend of our host and felt very welcomed. It was a bit noisier at night than we had anticipated-- between loud music nearby and the never ending roar of vespas, but the location of the apartment to all the sites was ideal. The noise may only be an issue in the summer as we had to keep the windows open due to the heat. The apartment was supplied with a generous number of fans that made the inevitable summer Rome heat bearable. All in all a great experience!

The location is terrific. We picked the flat without any knowledge of the city's geography but congratulated ourselves all week for how clever we were, when it was so easy to get to the main culture spots by foot (everything seemed to be 10 min away). The area around Navona is bustling but the street of the flat is comparatively quiet, the noise and commotion of late nights never gets to flat. It was spacious enough for five of us, and the two bathrooms were particularly useful. The communication was effortless, even if at handing back keys there was a public transport strike there was no incident or major delay. Highly recommended!

First, communication with the host was excellent. Her friendly and punctual assistant, Giorgio, met us at the flat and checked us in as well as out. The linens were clean, the kitchen had what we needed, and the showers worked consistently and bathrooms were nice. Second, the location is fantastic. We spent almost a week in the city and I could not think of a better one. Great street. Lots of little restaurants that are good. Perfect proximity to the Vatican, Piazza Navona, the Pantheon, the Colleseum; in short, everywhere you might want to go this is centrally located but in a great location. The only thing I'd warn is that it's not very close to a metro stop. I didn't really want to be close to a metro stop so worked well for us. Close by taxis and hundreds of shops and restaurants plus walking distance of all the major attractions was just perfect. If you are a light sleeper it can be a little loud from time to time, but that's the city for you. The pictures are accurate but make the flat look a little bigger and newer than it is; some of the furniture is quite nice and some is very worn down. Clearly you are paying for the location with the owner's rate, not for a fancier place to stay. Overall we would definitely stay here again.
