Robert. Many thanks for taking the time to leave a review of your recent stay at Allanstream Apartment.
I am glad to hear you liked the fresh flowers in situ for your arrival – we find a lot of guests comment on this and how they find it a nice welcoming touch.
It clearly states in the description that it is a lower garden conversion of a Victorian Villa. We do not describe it, as you have done, as a basement as this would imply that there are no windows in the property. Quite the opposite in fact and we have had comments on how light and bright the property is given that it is a lower garden conversion.
I have noted the issue with the exterior sensor light and this is being rectified. As the summer nights’ in Scotland are extremely light until almost 11pm, we had not noticed nor anyone notify us that the light was not working. The dark nights have only just started again therefore it has obviously come to your attention and I apologise for any inconvenience in accessing the property during your stay.
I am unsure as to why you say you could not contact either Stirling Self Catering or the house keeper as we both have mobile phone numbers which you have and I am also contactable by e mail or through Airbnb. Communication with guests is something we always get rated extremely well on so, again, I am unsure as to why you could not contact us.
As you have noted , the apartment is extremely well located for day trips both near and far and there is an abundance of eateries in the village of Bridge of Allan.
Thank you again for your review and be assured the light issue is being addressed.
