Casa Mula was literally home for one of the local Mules and has been lovingly renovated using local materials making a lovely rustic three story holiday home with all mod cons ! Situated in a corner of the village, with parking ,it has fantastic views of Mount Maroma , at 2,065 metres its the highest mountain the the Axarquia area.

The space

Sedella is a traditional white village ( Pueblo Blanco ) situated in the Tejeda and Almijara mountain range . There are two small shops that sell all the basics and there is a street market on a Monday . There are two restaurants where you can sample the local food including Chivo ( goat ) and lamb, there is also a tapas bar on the plaza where you can sit and enjoy a glass of the local wine and watch the village life go by .

There are some lovely walks / hikes that can be taken from Sedella into the national park .

We can also help organise outdoor activities like horse riding , kayaking , potholing , 4X4 trips into the national park etc .

Casa Mula is a unique holiday home and gives the feeling of real Spain as you will see all the locals going about their daily chores whether it be harvesting the grapes to make the local wine or bringing back fresh fruit & vegetables from their allotments . There is a bread van that comes past daily as well as other vans selling anything form fresh fish to water melons !
The house itself is full of features like old beams and terracotta flooring and is well furnished . There is a CD/ Radio player and a TV ( no satellite ) DVD player with a large choice of DVD´s

There are a number of City day trips you can take from Sedella including Cordoba , Granada and Malaga , or you can just spend your days exploring the white villages in this beautiful area .

Guest access

Casa Mula is on it´s own so no shared amenities . The village has a municipal swimming pool which is open July & August . There is also a fully fitted gym where guests can go for around 5 euros per session .

We had a perfect stay in Casa Mula. Caroline has thought of absolutely everything you might want, from barbecue, cool blocks ready frozen and cool bin with tupperware for picnics to a welcoming bottle of Cava with chilled glasses on arrival. Sedella is a delight and we had a perfect holiday relaxing and walking from the village. We had planned to travel around a lot but decided to mostly stay put and enjoy this unique airbnb and lovely location.

What a little gem! We were attracted to the property because of its unique style, your own little quirky tower in the centre of a beautiful village. The building has been sympathetically renovated to a high standard, it is self contained, and equipped with everything you could possibly need. Lots of lovely walks to discover. We ate in two of the village restaurants, Restaurante Lorena, recommended, family run, excellent food. We also enjoyed fantastic meal at The Flags which is located a couple of KM outside the village. ( sorry I know that isn’t the correct name of the restaurant) Caroline and Malcolm are wonderful hosts, meet you on arrival, live very close by if there are any problems. Lots of helpful tips about places to visit. We have already recommended Casa Mula to our friends. Stay here, you will just love it!

Wonderful stay at Casa Mula, it was great from start-to-finish. Caroline is a fantastic host, communication is very quick and I couldn't have had a more straightforward airbnb experience. The Casa itself is beautifully renovated and extremely clean, with a few little touches to make it even more homely. Sedella is very quiet and small, so a car is a must. On Caroline's advice I visited the Moorish town of Frigiliana, which was stunning and lunched at Hotel La Viñuela - both excellent tips. Thanks again, Caroline!

A very unusual and characterful little tower house in a wonderful white washed mountain village with a lovely top terrace. Caroline cares for her guests welfare and her personal touches, such as basic provisions, a bottle of Cava were much appreciated. La Casa Mula is certainly unique, the surrounding countryside quite majestic and Caroline a wonderful host. Thank you.

Caroline, you are not only an amazing host but also a wonderful person! You saved our lives more than twice I think :) haha But first things first. Sedella is situated in the mountains and offers us tourists some idea of what a Spanish village is really about! We had only two days to discover it all but still we enjoyed it a lot! When we arrived there was a bottle of cava and some snacks waiting for us in the fridge - how thoughtful of our host! Casa Mule is designed in such a way that it presents you with the local style together with some modern solutions. We loved the kitchen, fully furnished and so comfortable. We used the log burner in the living room and here Caroline saved us as we used all the wood the day we arrived! She got us more - all by herself! We helped ourselves and watched some dvds available for the quests and spent long ours having a sunbath on terrace located at the very top of the Casa Mule. Though short, it was such a lovely visit. I almost forgot to mention that among other things, Caroline helped us by providing an adapter for my UK mobile phone charger! You were a real life saver there Caroline and Casa Mule is a fabulous place to stay during holidays! Cheers! Olga & Martin

We moved to Sedella from England in 2001 and have never looked back ! We look after a number of rental properties in the area . In the UK we worked for nearly 20 years in the Hotel and catering industry so we really enjoy our work here , meeting people and helping them get the most from their holiday !

Our favourite things in life are travel , music , food & wine . We try to take trips around Spain as much as possible , we love living in Sedella as it is a little Spanish village but just if we need to see some city life we take a trip to Malaga which is a really beautiful city with fantastic bars , restaurants and museums including the Picasso Museum .
