Quaint, self-catering garden cottage, which is separate from my main guesthouse. It comfortably sleeps a family of 4 with 1 double bed and double bunk bed. The space includes a kitchenette with all essential cooking amenities. The Guesthouse is located within the charming suburb of Richmond Hill. Restaurants & coffee shops are a mere 10 min walk away. The airport & beaches can be reached within 15 mins by car. Game viewing & hiking at Addo Elephant Park is reachable within 30-40 mins by car.

Very dusty and also smelly bedding. Unclear as to how to check out regarding keys.

Response from Catherine:
To address the following issues raised by the guest. Dusty: I personally checked the cottage after my cleaning staff had serviced it and found absolutely no dust. I even did an additional once over, to check that there was no hidden dust. This comment seems unfounded; 'Smelly': The linen is replaced after each check out as well as the rooms deoderised using Charlotte Rhys Linen and room spray. Once again, am puzzled by this comment. 'Unsanitary shower tub': The two 'stains' in the bath are aged stains and NOT dirt. The bath is old but is of good quality, compared to the plastic ones available now. 'Checkout policy': We will endeavour to be more specific about the check out process in future. However, the Guesthouse front and side doors were open and both myself and my housekeeper were on the property when this guest checked out. I find it strange therefore, that the guest did not announce her departure but simply chose to drop the key in the post box and leave. Will encourage guests to call rather that text when they approach the Guesthouse in future as I may be driving and unable to respond immediately to the text.

Catherine's home was very lovely. Although she was not there she took great care that we would be assisted by someone else and she even considered sending us suggestions for restaurants and pubs. We stayed at Zareba with four European girls and we were told that it can be really …

Rooms in the house were arranged and it was not a cottage house on its own.

Response from Catherine:
Thank you for you for your comments. We are busy making some changes to our listings on Airbnb to ensure that guests are aware that the rooms are in the main Guesthouse and the Garden Cottage is a stand alone unit with its own entrance . Apologies for the confusion. However, your group were offered two full Ensuite rooms at no extra cost.

We booked into the Zareba guest house to stay for three nights while visiting family in Port Elizabeth, and to introduce my 8-month-old daughter to her great-grandmother. On arrival at the guest house, we pulled into the garage and noticed that the second half of the driveway was…

I'm a sociable person who loves to have her family and friends over for a delicious dinner (pretty good cook) and a good bottle of wine. I like to keep active and am a bit of a yogi, who also often goes for long walks along our beautiful coastline with my two dogs. I try to trave…
