We are 400 metres from the beach, where you can enjoy surfing, windsurfing, beach football and cycle paths. Located near Tijuca Park, offering hiking, abseiling, waterfalls, hang gliding and cycling. We have the Fashion Mall, with a variety of restaurants, shops, a theatre and cinemas, events at the Hotel Nacional, and street food at kiosks such as Qui Qui, Musa, Barthô and Soga. The space
Our house is located in the South Zone of Rio, above Golf Clube da Gávea, offering a quiet farm atmosphere in the heart of the Atlantic Forest of Tijuca National Park. Despite its peaceful atmosphere, the house is conveniently located close to Rio's tourist attractions, which can be reached by metro, BRT and bus, with the street crossing one of the main thoroughfares between Gávea/Leblon and Barra da Tijuca.
The property is situated directly below the "Pedra da Gávea", part of a mountain range covered by typical subtropical forest, providing stunning views. From the house, it is possible to observe several species of birds, such as toucans and hummingbirds, as well as monkeys of different sizes.
With 16 rooms, the house accommodates students from the Pontifical Catholic University PUC of Rio during the semester, many of whom are foreigners. Students live for periods of one semester to up to four years, depending on the course. During university recesses, rooms are available to tourists and Airbnb professionals.
Nearby there is a supermarket, a Catholic church, and easy access to public transport, including subway, BRT, taxis and buses to all parts of Rio. The beach, ideal for sports like volleyball and surfing, is within walking distance at the end of the street. I turned a great fan of Brazil and like to chat with my guests about what I know about it, passing on to them the marking cultural places that I visited and my experiences with typical bars, restaurants, museums and beaches of Rio. I bought this big house 21 years ago and transformed it progressively according to my taste to the comfortable place it is today and it grew to be my delight and hobby ...
