Set only a stone’s throw from Emsworth mill pond, Tides Way is a beautiful Victorian cottage suitable for a small group of adults or family of four.

The main living area looks out across the water and is comfortably furnished with wood burner and a good sized television to cosy down on cool summer or winter evening. The open plan kitchen / dining area is an excellent size for entertaining. With gas fire at the foot of the dining table it’s the perfect spot to sit with a glass of wine, play games or eat dinner after a long day of exploring.

The well equipped kitchen includes, kettle, cafetiere, dishwasher, cooker, fridge, freezer, microwave, toaster and washing machine. You will have everything you need to cook up a feast while not out at one of the many local independent restaurants, pubs and cafes nearby.

At the opposite end of the kitchen are large patio doors leading out to Tide Way's quirky courtyard garden. Raised up to a higher level it makes the outdoor space better for catching those rays of sunshine in this high walled garden area. Here you will find a table and chairs with enough room for all of the family.

On the ground floor you will find the family shower room and on the first floor are the two bedrooms. The master bedroom looks out across the millpond and the second bedroom overlooks the garden. The second bedroom can made up as a double or twin room but please let us know in advance of your arrival at the cottage.

Parking is in front of the property on the road. Free Wifi is available.

Situated at the top of Chichester Harbour, Emsworth is a delightful market town popular with sailors, walkers, artists and tourists. It has two tidal mill ponds which are host to a variety of wild life. It is full of history, with a long established reputation for oyster fishing and boat building and still boasts traditional shipwrights and chandeliers.

Emsworth boasts a handful of independent restaurants including the michelin starred ' 36 on the Quay'. By foot you can easily get to the bottom of South Street where you will find a cafe overlooking the harbour, 'The Bluebell' Pub, well known in the local area for their excellent fish and chips, 'Fat Olives' restaurant and ‘Wooster’s’ restaurant and wine bar.’

The sailing club is a thriving centre for sailing enthusiasts and the pretty streets have a fascinating mixture of different architectural styles. A gentle walk around the village, which has superb harbour views, gives a genuine feel for the past.

There are excellent road links to Portsmouth and Chichester (15 minute drive to both approximately) and there is also a mainline station to London. There is an interesting selection of independant shops in the town itself and there are numerous places of interest to visit in the area. These include Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth, one of the largest vantage points in Europe, the internationally renowned Chichester Festival Theatre at Chichester, polo at Cowdray near Midhurst and horse racing and motor sports at Goodwood. In addition to the sailing at Emsworth there is also a very popular sandy beach at West Wittering which attracts wind surfers and surfers, as well as sun bathers.
