The space

The apartment is decorated with state of the art danish design. Arne Jacobsen and Hans J. Wegner chairs, a Poul Kjærholm table and Poul Henningsen lamps. Furthermore, the flat itself seems even bigger than it is because the distance between the ceiling and floor is bigger than normally.

Nice and quiet bed room with a lovely and soft double bed.
Small functional kitchen in the living room with a gas stove, oven, and fridge w. small freezer.

The neighborhood is spectacular and by far, in my opinion, the most vivid and interesting area in Copenhagen. It has something for each taste, whether you're out for fun in the night life, art galleries in the day time og good restaurants and cafées. There is a very good asian district a hundred metres from the apartment where you can get cheap and good food at various restaurants.

We didn't have the best luck at getting to Copenhagen; there were issues with our flight, emergency landings, delayed flights etc, meaning we didn't arrive until many many hours after we were expected to. We kept Ivan updated on our issues and he was more than understanding. He eventually greeted us and welcomed us into his apartment with no worries whatsoever. Throughout the stay, we felt we could contact Ivan at anytime, with any questions or concerns. Ivan was also flexible with check-out time which was really helpful as we wanted to explore the city some more without lugging bags about until our evening flight. The apartment is exactly as you find it in photographs. Quirky, interesting, hygge. The bed was comfy, kitchen clean, great shower and endless amount of films, books & music to pick from to relax after a day of exploring. We met some of the neighbours and very much felt a sense of community at the apartment. The area itself was perfect. 5 minute walk from the station, 5 minute walk to the Meatpacking District (where you must try Mother for pizza and Prolog for your fresh morning coffee and pastry...I'd fly back right now for a croissant!). Copenhagen is a very easy city to get around on foot or bike and the location of this apartment was centre to it all! Tak Ivan. We can't wait to return to beautiful Copenhagen

Terrific location for working in or seeing Copenhagen but also for eating out a little more cheaply than in the centre. We loved the creative feel of the apartment. Be aware that if you like lying in, you may hear the patter of not-so-tiny feet from around 7.00 on schooldays.

Spent a great few days at Ivan’s place in Vesterbro with my girlfriend. Perfect location to crash for a long weekend with a wall full of films (the apartment looks exactly like the pics - v clean, comfy bed and the decor is amazing), great sound system and kitchen - all within walking distance of everything in central Copenhagen (we were recommended to rent bikes @ Baisikeli but never bothered as everything easily walkable). Great area at night with bars / places to eat and meat packing district only a 5min walk away. Many reviews commenting on safety of the area but we found very similar to ‘trendy’ areas elsewhere (e.g. East London) with the flat being in a gated community an added layer of safety. Ivan was extremely helpful throughout - from admin pre-trip, to allowing us late check-in around 2230 to being available on message if ever we needed anything. Couldn’t recommend highly enough. We didn’t see nearly enough of Copenhagen, but when back for a bit more will definitely stay here again.

Ivan met us at the apartment to give us the keys and gave us some good advice about the area. The apartment is a great space and looks exactly as it does in the photos. There are lots of good restaurants and bars in the area (plus some galleries which we didn't get to go to) and it's just a short walk to lots of other things to do in the centre. Despite being in a central location near the main train station the apartment was really peaceful and quiet at night. Nice area outside and sit to enjoy sunshine in the summer. Good value for money.

We had a fabulous stay at Ivan's home. He met us on arrival and explained everything. The apartment is great, loads of space with really funky décor. I loved all the film posters! The apartment is in a great location, really easy to get to lovely cafes, restaurants and bars. It is right next to the main train station and Tivoli gardens and a short walk from the meat packing district (which Ivan recommended) with more good restaurants and bars and a really laid back atmosphere. I would definitely recommend Ivan's home as a fantastic place to stay if you are visiting Copenhagen. Thank you Ivan :-)
