The place is clean and has the basic needs covered: fridge, stove, coffee maker, cutlery, beddings, great shower. The pictures and description on the Airbnb are very accurate. The neighborhood is as safe as it can get: the police academy is in the next block. Lots of restaurants, coffee shops and other stores, and less than a 10min walk to the national museum and city centre. There is a bit of a steep hill to get to the apartment, and having to climb 5 flights of stairs after that (no elevator in the building) can be tiring after a day's work or walking around the city; if you have an movement difficulties, make sure you don't forget anything inside before you go downstairs :). Last but not least: Cristina is a very dedicated host, available at all times, and stayed in contact with me since the day I booked my trip to help coordinate my check-in. She also followed up with me a couple of times to ensure I was enjoying my stay. Anita, the lady who delivers the keys was also very accommodating to my airport delay and my colleague's checkout requirements.

Great place to stay. Nothing fancy but awesome views of the city, especially in the evenings. Walking distance to main points of interest. Close to Public transport, supermarkets, bakeries and heaps of restaurants. It does get a bit cool in the evenings, so come prepared. We would definitely stay again if back in Bogota.

It looks like a typical apartment that is (only) rent to make money through Airbnb and you never get to see the owner. which is maybe good, as Anita (the doorlady) is just brilliant!!

Response from Cristina:
Well there's ways to see it, is an apartment that have host marvelous people from all over the world and yes we get paid doing it, as everyone. I do not live in Colombia, the apartment is attended and managed by the marvelous Anita, the door lady, who attends hosts at any time, solves technical emergencies and problems during the holidays and luckily lives just blocks from the apartment and knows very good her job. The apartment is located downtown, where is impossible to have a high speed internet connection. The city's telephone company provides internet and is the only provider available in the area, sometimes there's technical problems that just they can fix. When Martin arrived was a problem that lasted a day, next day the internet was working well. Martin was coming from another city in Colombia and never let us know what time was he arriving. So yes it was after Anita's shift in the building. He contacted her and me and as far I understand she came to let him in. Is a responsibility of the guest to let know the host what is the time of arrival.

Great stay, very nice neighborhood with amazing top restaurants and beautiful stores, clean apartment and amazing view! I would only add, for those who suffer from cold, that it can be quite a challenge for those with small kids as the temperature drops to low at night. If you're looking for something central and simple, this is your ride!

The view is beautiful! Very cute small apartment with good light. Little kitchen so you don't have to eat out every meal which was perfect for me and my boyfriend on a budget. Close to a lot of cool historical parts of Bogota and lots of places to eat and go out within walking distance. Its up a hill and up five flights of stairs so we got good workouts riding our bikes and walking around. Not a good place to stay if your lazy. Everyone we met around the neighborhood and in the building were very friendly. Had some technical issues with appliances and power which made it hard to communicate as we had to go elsewhere to find wifi. Even though Christina was out of town she was able to help us figure it out quickly with the building manager Anita. Anita (Ana) doesn't speak English and our Spanish is terrible but we were able to understand each other for the most part and she even showed us where the neighborhood market was to get fruit and veggies and a great local cafe/bakery right around the corner, we might not have found it if she hadn't shown us. Would stay here again! We had a great time in Bogota!
