This is a great location for a wine-country experience, and the hosts do everything they can to provide information and insights. Both are knowledgeable, interesting and amazingly helpful. All major NY and PA wineries are in very reasonable location from the Mansion. The Mansion is a near-museum experience, with amazing surprises around every corner. Honestly, you could spend half a day just looking around the inside of the house and marveling at the artistry and craftsmanship (and "secret" rooms). Hosts were outstanding, and the breakfast was great. Our bed and accommodations were comfortable, and all of the utilities in the Mansion are fully functional, with no issues, despite the age of the building. In the interest of full disclosure, the house and grounds are not 100% updated yet, although YOUR ROOM will be, as well as the common areas. Also, during the night while we were there, there was periodic train traffic with horn blowing - I assume this is a safety thing. I hate even mentioning it because the experience was otherwise so exceptional.

Stayed over NE Winefest weekend. What an amazing interesting historic mansion...lots to check out and explore in the place.... The mansion gives you a glimpse of the past.....Michael and Jim are amazing hosts and did a killer breakfast. They give lots of helpful local information and made it feel like home.. Being a pet friendly place is a bonus.... So many Winerys in a short distance gives you alot of options... and finally a cant beat price... We will be back, keep up the good work dudes...

My boyfriend was driving out to Chicago and needed a last-minute place to stay. Michael was incredibly responsive to my messages (that were sent late in the evening) and very accommodating as my boyfriend also had his dog with him. Michael is a very welcoming, hospitable host, and the breakfast was amazing!

Michael's place was unlike any airbnb we had stayed in the past. It was a little glimpse of history, and exploring the mansion was a joy. The hosts were exceptionally friendly and hospitable, giving us a tour of the home and providing background information on the property. Breakfast in the morning was delicious! We would recommend this location to anyone passing through on I-90.

This place is a unique gem. A totally fun and interesting place to explore. The owners are gracious and good hosts. Food in the mornings from experienced cooks. An amazingly off-beat and strange place!
