This is a brilliant, tastefully designed apartment, situated in a quiet neighbourhood. It's listed as a Private Room but Walter gives you complete privacy, so you essentially have your own home. It's also really close to a tram stop connecting you to the centre of Amsterdam in minutes. Walter was a great host, communication was good and he even had a bottle of wine waiting for us! Would definitely stay with Walter again!

Walter's place was exactly how the pictures listed showed with the exception of the bed linen that was much nicer than shown. The apartment is spacious and modern, it is clear the effort Walter has put in to making the apartment have such a great feel. The location is a little further out than we had thought but there is a tram stop 2 minutes walk away. Stiff doors getting into the apartment and the oven was initially a headache to use but once you get it once you'll be fine. Upon meeting Walter and checking in we had a phone call that he accused me of being high or drunk and said he would cancel our reservation if he deemed me to be, I was sober. This wasn't the best first impression however upon meeting us he did apologise and did have good banter with us. within the apartment there was a folder with light rules and information on tourist activities and getting about. I would stay at Walters place again.

Walter is an excellent host. His suggested places to eat are fantastic. The location is very nice as well, only a block off a tram stop, and his suggestion to buy a multi-day public transport pass was very helpful. We were able to get around the entire city this way.

It was our first airbnb and we don't regret our choice! We stayed for 2 nights. The apartment was awesome, just like the photos! Clean, cosy and decorated with beautiful tastes. It's really close to public transport and not far from the city center. Walter was a great host; very kind!
