The completely renovated historical farmhouse is located above the village of Santa Bárbara, with a breathtaking view over the mountains and valleys. Comforts such as air conditioning, wood stove, LED TV, fast WiFi and a fully equipped kitchen ensure a relaxing holiday. In the comfortable mix of new and antique furniture, you will feel right at home. With the laptop workstation, the house is also ideal for long-term stays. The private sun terrace offers 2 sun loungers, a BBQ and a dining area.

The space
The more than 12,000 sqm large, subtropical garden with many palm trees and succulents invites you to take a walk in your own property. Depending on the season, organic oranges, tangerines, lemons, guavas and bananas as well as fresh herbs such as laurel or rosemary can be harvested in the garden.

The Casa Boavista is an ideal starting point for hikes through the untouched nature. In the village there is a café, a mini supermarket and a bus stop. Probably the most beautiful bay in the Azores, Sao Lourenço, with its sandy beaches and a large seawater swimming pool, is only a few minutes' drive away.

Santa Maria is the southern and easternmost, and with 97 SQ km the third smallest island of the Azores. Santa Maria also is the sunniest island of the Azores and therefore all year round ideal for enjoying nature and hiking, walking or biking. During summer months, until mid October, you may surf, dive and participate on whale watching tours in the crystal clear waters of the Atlantic.
The Azores are ideal for nature lovers and tranquility seekers. This forgotten piece of earth has stayed and has been kept largely untouched. This makes out its charm. You are mistaken, if you seek bustling entertainment, chic shopping miles, elegant hotels and jet set feeling. Unimaginable: There is only one traffic light on Santa Maria and few cars drive on the curvy narrow roads. Holidays on Santa Maria mean total recreation, without hectic and noise.
And whoever wishes to flee cold winters finds a perfect and price worthy winter quarters. The year round mild climate enables many tropical and subtropical plants to grow, All year there are plants in bloom and even in winter woods and meadows sparkle in rich green tones.
