We did enjoy a lot our stay at Irina's place. The house is very green and lovely, its even much nicer than the pictures; very clean and has an amazing balcony with a great view to the old port. Irina is very welcoming host, she does very tasty cakes and she was all the time ready to guide or/and to help us in everything we've asked. Whenever u are in Mykonos, I highly recommend to choose to stay at Irina's!

I can highly recommend Irina's house. The house is a 10 min walk to the town but feels light years away. It is so quiet and tranquill with a lovely veranda overlooking the ocean. The house is well fitted out and has v good air con and wifi. We had no issues with using the sofa beds. There is also a separate bedroom. Irina also included a lovely basket of food to use. The house is also close to a great bakery/patisserie down the road, as well as close to the bus station to go to beaches. A wonderful experience. Many thanks to Irina and all her lovely family.

Irina was a wonderful and very accommodating hostess! She was warm and easy to communicate with. The apartment was close to the center of old town (2 mins walking to the edge of the town and less than 15 to the opposite end of the town). The apartment is also very quiet and secluded because it's at the top of a hill. There's a gorgeous view of the ocean from the patio - perfect for sunsets. There was one downside though, and that was the wifi. It was a little patchy and slow, so if you're relying solely on her wifi, it might be difficult. That said, Irina was extremely responsive when I asked her to look into the wifi connection and her husband fixed it. It was a little faster after that. And, you should note that essentially every place has wifi near the apartment, you just have to ask for passwords and usually need to purchase something. Overall, Irina was wonderful. My 3 friends and I had an amazing time and would absolutely stay there if we go back!!

Irina was a wonderful hostess and her home was as pictured. Upon arrival we were treated with a wonderful welcome basket of home made treats. Irina's home was bright, cheery, and very clean, and was in a great location (minutes from town). The kitchen was well equipped; although we didn't do any cooking and based on the pictures, I was afraid the bedroom would have been tight for my husband and I, but it provided enough space and the bed was very comfortable. Although her beautiful home had a sea view, there was a parking lot in front that took some of the beauty away from the location. With that being said, I would however, still stay at her home during my next trip to Mykonos.

Irina's place is simply amazing, the apartment is stunning and comfortable and filled with everyone one needs. Additionally the view at sunset is breathtaking and many times did we just sit and watch the sun go down. Irina was also kind enough to pick us up from the port on the day of our arrival and allowed us to store our bags on the day of our departure. The location is walkable to mykonos town Hora and near the old port bus stop which makes it accessible to all of the tourist attractions and many beaches. A great place to stay and highly recommended.

Modern and spacious home to accomodate 3-4 people comfortably. Located a 5 minute walk from the entrance of the main town, although the walk uphill is a little steep and challenging in the heat if you have no fitness whatsoever. Otherwise it's not too bad. Beautiful view of the harbour and the town, close to public transport and the port where buses can get you anywhere you need to be.

Born and raised in Athens, I am a Mykonian from my father's side of the family. From my early childhood days, I have been visiting Mykonos as often as I could, both in winter and summer.

I always wanted to live in Mykonos for a long stretch of time. After marrying my Portuguese husband, Miguel Louro de Almeida, and giving birth to our daughter, I was able to make my dream come true.

To our family, Mykonos means a lot more than the reckless fun and glamorous lifestyle seen on the media. Below the glossy surface, one can find much more: the old traditional Mykonian houses, the intensely arid landscape embroidered with dry-stone walls, the unique, crystal-clear beaches, the island of Delos, the bright sunlight, people who are making a great effort to preserve their traditions and identity while development is wreaking havoc, people with a true cosmopolitan nature...

Mykonos is our source of inspiration. Its multicultural atmosphere, tolerance and contrasts are the main reasons we love this island.

I work as a freelance design professional, Miguel is an IT technician. As a graphic designer, I specialize in book design and graphic applications for museums and universities.I am really fond of books, art, culture and the sea. Miguel loves history, playing the drums and video games. We both enjoy traveling, cinema, music and nature.
