This was an old, ruined barn before I transformed it into a pretty house, putting care and attention into every detail. I used natural and eco-friendly materials, wood, stone, lime mortar, dyes, oils and ancestral techniques, such as tadelakt.
This house is ideal for a romantic getaway and also to explore all the natural charm of Asturias.

We try to reduce our negative impact on the environment and to enjoy a healthy and pleasant environment. In this sense, please do not smoke inside the house.

UPSTAIRS
Floor-to-ceiling windows give spectacular views of the mountains in all shades of green. This is a light-filled and comfortable space with a kitchen area and sitting room. The decoration has all been carefully selected with handmade pieces of wooden furniture and other design features. There is a fully-equipped kitchen and a wood-burning stove that can supplement the central heating (pellet boiler).

DOWSTAIRS
Here there is a warm and romantic bedroom with a queen size bed and an extra-comfortable mattress, down duvet, cotton and linen bedding.

There is the possibility of an extra bed should you need one.
The bathroom is en suite and has a spacious shower made using Marrakech lime, black soap and waxes in the technique called tadelakt. There is ample natural light and a free-standing cast-iron bathtub.

Villandas is a small village of less than 50 inhabitants nestled in hills of great beauty far from the normal tourist routes. This is how it retains its unique charm and authenticity.
We are 15 km from the protected area of Pico Caldoveiro and Puerto de Marabio (20 minutes), 4 km from the Camino Real de la Mesa, 26 km from the Somiedo Natural Park (35 minutes), 32.4 km from the Senda del Oso (50 minutes), 55 minutes from the Playa del Aguila… all of them uniquely beautiful places.
There are native oak, beech, chestnut and ash woods nearby. You do not have to use your car to go for a walk in the countryside.
