Romantic shelter carved into the rock of the promontory above Scopello, on the outskirts of the Zingaro nature reserve; small village, an oasis of peace and tranquility. You will enjoy the sound of nature and be lulled by the silence of meditation.

The space

The house is a single room divided by a mezzanine. Downstairs there is a kitchen with dining room and a single bed.

Upstairs there is double bed and a single one with the possibility of adding a cot . There is also a bathroom with a shower.

The house is heated with a wood stove and an electric heater.

The building is a small old mountain house above Scopello, completely restored. It's surrounded by nature. The place is very quiet and tranquil. It's around 5 km away from the nearest town.
The house also includes a small terrace with a little garden.

The position is great for visiting the surrounding touristic area and to enjoy the beautiful beach of Scopello. We recomend you visit the nature reserve of Zingaro. It's a stunning place ideal for hicking, picnics or even just to spend all day by the sea.

Near by, at Balata di Baida, you will find fresh milk and cheeses made by Pietrino and a wonderful traditional cuisine.

Guest access

Garden with barbecue and entire house with possibility of little bed for baby and highchair.

Interaction with guests

I'll meet you at your arrive and explain everything about the house and suggest place to visit if you request. I don't live there but for any problem you can call me or text me i will help.

Other things to note

Visicari is a strategic place to visit all the area around. You must go to San Vito lo Capo, Erice, Mozia, Segesta and Selinunte other than Riserva dello Zingaro, just to come back to the calm and tranquillity of Visicari. Perfect place for reading a book and feel the landscape. It's not so strange to be alone, until may or june, and apprecciate the sounds of nature.
I love to entertain friends and make your stay as pleasant as possible , that's why I try to make descriptions as accurate as possible to allow my guests to choose the place that best suits their needs .
I treasure the precision and that my guests are happy , then I advise you to read carefully and in all parts of the ad in order to make an informed choice .

E' permesso fumare, preferibilmente all'esterno.

We had wonderful time here. If you're looking for a secluded stay then this is the place. Great views, very quiet and a very nice place to be. There's a couple of restaurants 5 mins drive away though we walked (with torches) sometimes. Took about 25 mins to walk the winding hillside roads. Hosts were good communicators and we have everything we needed. Thank you!

Elena's house is so beautiful and relaxing, the views are gorgeous and the terrace is a great place to relax. There is everything you need for a great holiday and a brilliant supermarket at the bottom of the hill. We hired a moped in castallamerre del Golfo which was great! Would definitely recommend.

Elena was a great host. Communication in the lead up to our stay and for check-in was very easy and Elena gave us some good tips for the local area. Basic toiletries and oil, salt, pepper, water, fruit were provided which was great. We were slightly surprised by the remoteness of the property and some things could do with updating (fridge/sockets etc). The lack of air-con (which was advertised) was also a shame as it was v.hot during our stay. Overall it was a great base for our trip, with a lovely host, but expect some geckos and relatively basic accommodation.

This little house is perfect for a couple, secluded and peaceful up in the hills above Scopello. We had a fantastic stay - it was really comfortable and cozy, and the house had everything we needed to prepare simple meals at home, with a lovely outside area with table for reading/eating breakfast. It was a great base to explore the beautiful areas nearby - beaches, Scopello village, the Zingaro nature reserve are all nearby. Elena was very welcoming when we arrived and made everything easy. We hope to come back!

we had a great time at Elena's house. she has been very friendly, kind and supportive, always answering any question we had. the house is lovely, very quiet and relaxing, clean and in a great location on the mountain but close (10 minutes by car) to the astonishing seaside, a market with the most kind people and the beautiful Scopello. Nice garden and friendly cats. really enjoyed our stay!

Elena was lovely and made us feel very welcome. She was efficient in her communication and arranged to meet us at the fantastic local supermarket/deli so that she could take us to the house. The house is situated at the top of a hill and a car is necessary but we loved that it was away from any tourist area, quiet and with great views. The house is a lovely traditional stone building with a shaded terrace. It was clean and well equipped with everything we needed.
