Glad to hear you had a great trip, Helen, and we appreciate your kind words. Although I agree that there are limited frills, I feel that the "no frills" description is a bit strong. The unit has a TV, microwave, wireless Internet, coffee maker, refrigerator, mini split heat and air system, and the world's coolest door. [It's an airport shuttle bus which has a door that has taken us months to set up to run independent of the engine. I believe there was even a "kink" when you were there. (Sorry about that.) But it's now functioning perfectly, and our latest visitors are enjoying the novel entry/exit from this unique unit.] We also are setting up a system that will allow guests to change the lighting (with the colors and brightness to fit their mood), as well as adjust the temperature, and control other functionalities ... all with their cell phones. (Talk about a frill!) Other amenities are planned as well. Meanwhile, it has the frill that you mentioned (and that usually costs hundreds - or even thousands - of dollars per night to enjoy (if you can find it at all): AMAZING VIEWS. We're very glad you were able to paddle into one of those views with the "free canoe." (As you know, we also have kayaks. On top of that, we just purchased an awesome paddle boat. In any event, it was a pleasure to have had you join us, and we thank you for your visit as well as your kind words. May your future travels be safe and enjoyable, and we look forward to perhaps having you back with us in the not-too-distant future.
