The main door opens into a hallway with a window showing the enclosed patio. To the right is the spacious living room with a sofa, fireplace, underfloor heating and kitchen area.

A large bow-window looks out over the lawn to the hills beyond. The main bedroom has a double bed and a stylish bathroom in sea green. The second bedroom has three single beds and en-suite bathroom. As with all the houses, the terrace provides the opportunity for dining outdoors while enjoying the pristine Sierra air.

The area has much to offer at anytime. Fiestas and festivals take place throughout the year and, of course, the natural cycle of the seasons in the Sierra provides a rich variety of sights, sounds and produce. If you have not been here before, please come for a visit – you won´t be disappointed.

Molino Rio Alajar an idyllically situated series of 6 houses just outside the town across a river ford. The houses are named after animals native to the region – I stayed in El Conejo. All the houses are well equipped and are outstanding because of their design and décor which is typically Spanish with an emphasis on natural materials. If you want a mix of luxury and rural idyll this is the place for you.Relax by the pool after a strenuous game of tennis; go for a walk down the river gorge with its series of old mills into the most beautiful rolling countryside or walk into town to take advantage of the many bars and restaurants which specialize in the locally produced Iberican ham –made from the rightly famous indigenous black pig. little piece of heaven on earth.
