Guest access
Treveddoe is an 85 year old farmhouse on the site of an Elizabethan Manor on Bodmin Moor, originally built for the mine manager of the Treveddoe mine.

The farm is home to native Belted Galloway and North Devon cattle; you are free to explore the farmland and woodland, we do ask that you respect the livestock though and put dogs on a lead when close by, and close gates behind you. Due to our regenerative system, electric fencing is used to split up the fields, so please be aware of this.

There are countless walks and adventures to explore from the doorstep at Treveddoe, footpaths run through the farm to the woodland, and up to the moor.

The fields behind the house at the top of the farm lead onto Bodmin Moor, a famous Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The river Bedalder tumbles through the lower part of the farm in the valley and the land offers good walks through the 25 acres of ancient woodland. The bluebells, wood anemones and foxgloves are beautiful in the spring and early summer. Historic Treveddoe Mine (tin and copper), now almost hidden by nature, is nearby, with evidence of the old workings in the river valley.

Well behaved dogs (maximum of two) are very welcome and there is 1 dog bed with a bowl in the boot room, so no need to remember to pack yours. We have a firm 'no dog mess in the garden' policy, so please ensure you clean up after your dog as it is enjoyed by children.

BEACH TOWELS

Please bring your own beach towels for post river / hot tub/ sea swims!

BARLEY CRUSH BARN

For those looking for large family and friend group stays, Treveddoe farmhouse can be booked together with The Barley Crush barn next door, sleeping up to 16 people.

PARKING

Plentiful parking is available, 4 cars comfortably in the farmhouse drive. If you have an electric car, there is an EV Charging point, Zippi from myenergi installed for your use. Simply plug in and charge.

ECO FRIENDLY

The farmhouse rebuild has been designed with the environment and nature in mind. Water is sourced from our bore hole, heat from air source heat pump system, and we avoid harsh chemicals such as bleach. We use cleaning products such as Ecover to be inkeeping with farms nature friendly ethos, and beauty products supplied in the farmhouse are from Faith in Nature. The house is not on mains drainage and we have a domestic sewage system, therefore we ask people to only dispose of toilet paper down the loos.

We encourage our guests to recycle where possible. Recycling bags and bottle bins are set up in the Wood-Shed just outside the back entrance, and collected every second Friday. We also have a compost bin in the kitchen, so please do use this where possible. Claudi will collect bins on a Thursday evening so we don't disturb you on a Friday morning

THE FARM

Treveddoe Farm is a working regenerative farm set in 90 acres of pasture and woodland. Home to native-breed Belted Galloway and North Devon cattle, a mob grazing approach is used to manage the herd as part of a regenerative system. This involves the 'mob' of cattle being moved daily around the land, all year round, all in an effort to farm in a way that’s better for our soil health, nature and animal welfare. You may occasionally see Ben and Claudi, who manage the farm and lets, during your stay.

You are free to explore the farmland and woodland, we do ask that you respect the livestock though and put dogs on a lead when close by, and close gates behind you. Due to our regenerative system, we use electric fencing to split up the fields, so please be aware.

FARM PRODUCE

We have pasture fed, regeneratively reared beef from the farm available for purchase for you to enjoy during your stay. Steaks great for a summer bbq or roasting joints perfect for a cosy Sunday roast. If you are interested, please contact us via Airbnb upon booking.

HOT TUB

Please note the hot tub will be ready for you to fill and light on arrival.
