About this listing

Our home offers peace and tranquility with magical views of the bay. A three minute walk to private beach and bush walks. 15 min drive to both ferries and vineyards/cafes and our brand new supermarket!

The space

Baywatch is a fabulous designer-furnished three bedroom cottage, with plenty of windows to ensure uninterrupted breathtaking views of the bay. Situated up a private drive, you first pass through the native splendour of Whakanewha Regional Park. Only 15 minutes from the ferry, it offers a peaceful escape from everyday life. Perfect to recover from jetlag before starting your tour of NZ!
There is a large deck with a dining area seating eight benefiting from the shade sail. Double ring gas BBQ to cook the fish you've caught off the rocks or from the kayaks. All linen provided - bring your beach towels please.

Kayaks, fishing equipment, gas BBQ, DVDs, books, jigsaws etc

There is always someone available to answer any questions and make any recommendations.

With its sense of stillness and quiet comfort, our cottage is a peaceful retreat offering truly stunning bay views and island relaxation.

There is a bus service to the bottom of the road but it's a long walk and pretty impossible with bags - better to use the local taxi or hire a car when you get off the ferry - it's less than a minute's walk to the rental firm.

There is a 3 night minimum stay throughout the year and during peak periods - and at Christmas/New Year/Easter there is a seven day minimum stay.

Guest access

We have a private beach which is a two minute walk down through our land and bush area. Quiet secluded swimming and fishing off the rocks (rods and kayaks available)

Other things to note

Please ask re disabled access and bringing your dog.

The house was remote, peaceful and beautiful, which is exactly what we wanted. It was incredibly well equipped and made for a very comfortable stay. The huge deck and spectacular view set this house apart from many others. Would definitely recommend.

Had a fantastic week at "Baywatch" on Waiheke Island. The house lived up to its photos, and the listing was very accurate. The house was perfect for our multi-generational family, with plenty of room to spread out, and with a very well equipped kitchen that our "designated chef" used to good effect. The highlight for us was the deck, and we spent a lot of time relaxing, and wining and dining, on it. The views were even better than in the photo, and many snapshots were taken on the deck. And we loved the way every bedroom -- as well as the living area -- had access to the deck.

I'm a New Zealander currently living in London and NZ and I love to travel. Meeting other people that love to travel and explore is one of my favourite things. Apart from travelling, I love to eat great food and feel the sun on my face.
