This adorable house belongs to Miss Kiwi and her sweet mom Paola!

Kiwi, short for "Yurquivis"(jur-kibis), speaks excellent English and is such a wonderful hostess, so kind, so genuine, so honest, and as good as you will find anywhere!
Of course the same goes for Kiwi's adorable mom, Paula, who is just a sweetheart and so much fun! if you would only engage with her for few minutes, weather you speak Spanish or not, she will put a big smile on your face cheek to cheek, no doubt!:)
Back in 2012 I accidentally discovered this beautiful OASIS while exploring La Boca, a sleepy seaside fishing village less than 10 minutes outside of Trinidad.
The tranquility and peacefulness of this house, along with it's many charms just grabs your attention the moment you enter!
It's colorful garden-patio, right in the middle of the house, is filled with beautiful exotic plants everywhere. There are 4 rocking chairs, a hammock, a swing, and many colorful plants all around!
On one side of the garden there are 2 comfortable guestrooms with own private bathrooms and showers, plus AC.
On the second floor, directly above, there are 2 newly build guestrooms with a beautiful terrace overlooking the garden.
On the far side of the garden is a separate large backyard full of delicious fruit trees and plants, where Kiwi's delicious organic fruits and vegetables usually come from.
Each morning the guests who wish to have breakfast can expect to wake up to fresh juice & delicious fruits, mostly from Kiwi's own backyard, along with home eggs, local honey, delicious Cuban cheese, plus of course the wonderful Cuban coffee!
And on the opposite side of the backyard is the kitchen where Kiwi and mom Paola prepare their wold famously meals for their wonderful guests from all around the world.
There are also 3 little friends who share this house. Champi is the intelligent guard dog, Mr Anton the handsome cat, and a beautiful shy parrot called Miss Cooki.
Together, this wonderful family keeps their home beautiful, and their guests always happy, helping them create wonderful memories of CUBA!

Ther private side entrance to the courtyard allows the guests access to their rooms, so no worries about waking up anyone if you decide to dance the night away in TRINIDAD and come home late! Just ask Kiwi to leave a key for you.
The courtyard is a common area for guests to share.
The kitchen and the cooking is only for the host please.

Interaction with guests
The Guests interactions all depends on individual preferences.
Kiwi is kind and caring and will always make sure her guests are happy, weather interacting with them a lot or allowing them their space to just relax and enjoy the tranquillity of her beautiful house.
- Please be considerate and do not use the house towels on the floor!
- No smoking in the rooms please, only outside space.
- Absolutley not allowed to invite Cuban boy/girl firends back to the house without previous notice!
You MUST Please print your confirmation email with the reservation ID# and present this to the host up on your check-in/ arrival.
If your reservation is a last minute reservation and it is not impossible to print a cooy, then please have "offline" copy to show to your to hostesses so there are NO confusions as I was not there myself.
Love, respect, and lots of JOY are the main rules of this "Casa".
Please come as you are and do as you wish, as long as you come with love and respect.
- This is a family home, please treat it accordingly.
- Please avoid any illegal activity.
- For everyone's security you are not allowed to invite anyone, especially new Cuban friends back to the house/room unless you first register their ID/info with your host! This will be Extremely problematic as Cuban laws strongly hold home owners responsible in making sure all guests in the house are registered.
- This is a fully licensed guesthouse. The government of Cuba requires such guesthouses to record their guests passport infos, along with arrival and departure dates, and report it to the local immigration offices within 12hrs of their guests arrivals and pay the required fees. So up on your arrival please present your passports to the host so she can create a log. This is the law and is normal for ALL licensed guesthouses in Cuba, though some homes do cheat and skip this procedure to save money on fees.
If this is your first trip to Cuba then please be aware Cuban homes on average are very modest compared to homes and standards of living/comforts in the 1st world countries.
The #1 difference is their water systems. The tap water is not recommended for tourists to drink, though the Cubans do drink it themselves, but to be safe and avoid any stomach issues please avoid drinking tap water.
You can easily buy 1.5L water bottles for only $1.50 or less everywhere, and your host will sell this as well.
The water pressure in most Cuban homes are very low due to their poor water systems. Because of this showers can be challenging if the water is being used at the same time by others.
If you feel you may not be able to handle Cuba's modest living conditions then you will probably not enjoy your trip!
But if you can adjust and overlook, then you will enjoy yourself and have a fantastic trip as millions do each year!
