I arrived in pouring rain late at night in Genoa. The place was a little hard to find during the rain but Lily had given me enough landmarks through our messages to help me find it. Despite being terribly late, Lily and Max waited for me patiently and helped me settle in smoothly from the get go. They both made a huge effort to talk to me in English and gave me great advice on what to see and do around the city. The room was also very tastefully decorated and the bed was reasonably comfortable. For breakfast Lily had baked some fresh cake for me and another day got me the best focaccia bread in town! I don't think I could have asked for better hosts. They made me feel completely at home and I hope I get to stay with them again. Can not recommend this place more!

Max and Lilly are such wonderful and caring hosts! My 2 night trip to Genoa would not have been the same without their great input. They gave me ideas for great restaurants, sightseeing, etc and they told me several other worthwhile places to go. The unit itself is wonderful! It is designer decorated and has a wonderful warm inviting feel to it. Lilly is a architect... and her design talent definitely shows. The bedroom is large and the sofa bed is quite comfortable. I slept wonderfully! For breakfast, Max prepared a wonderful array of homemade treats, Italian coffee, yogurt, and more. I only wish I could have stayed longer! Thanks again Max & Lilly!!

Max and Lilli greeted us very warmly with a nice glass of Prosecco - we were allowed to keep the rest of the bottle for our first night in Genoa. Both were in a hurry but still we felt welcomed and directly at home. The apartment is perfectly situated for everyone planning to arrive by train. From the apartment, the city can easily be explored by foot and trains to catch to Portofino and Five Lands are only steps away. Unlike other guests, we found the surroundings of the apartment very enjoyable as it feels like diving into a completely new world when you enter Via Pre! Very exciting!!! The apartment is stylish, well-furnished and had everything we needed. As soon as the windows are closed, you can barely hear the sound from the streets. The bed is very comfortable and huge. Max and Lilli are wonderful people and try to be helpful whenever they can - we got travel advices and were able to store our bags longer than planned. Over all, our stay has been a great experience.

We are two norwegian girls who stayed here for three days, and had a great time. Max and Lilly was very helpful with maps and suggestions for what we could do. They have a lovely home, we got our own big room and they made us a nice breakfast every day! It's close to the train station, but remember to look for black street numbers (they have both red and black street numbers, red for shops and black for accomodation). We really recommend staying at Max and Lillys place! :-) Best wishes, Anniken and Karine

Hello, we are Max and Lilly.
We live in the historic center of the city because we love the atmosphere of the ancient Genoa, we like to have near the sea and we love the multi-ethnicity. We love good food and good wine. We hope you to ;-)
From here everything is close. We are 3 minutes from the train station, buses and the Metro. In 5 minutes you arrive at Aquarium of Genoa, 7 minutes to the Cathedral of San Lorenzo. Restaurants, supermarkets and pubs are nearby.
Our appartment is minimalist but very comfortable and cozy with objects purchased around the world during our travels, but also redesign objects as a grandfather clock turned in aquarium. We love to construct new objects, with old things!
We like to prepare cakes and jams with organic ingredients, and we hope you love these things ... because you will eat for breakfast:-)
