Our stay at Kathryn and Greg's place was wonderful! We had a very late check in because our flight was delayed but Kathryn still met us at the end of the driveway to make sure we got in OK. The pictures do not do this place justice. The view is incredible, and the deck was a great spot to sit in the morning and enjoy a cup of coffee. There is so much natural light coming in from the skylights and windows which was wonderful for us because we get up early, but if the light bothers you, I would suggest a sleep mask. The sound of the creek running beside us was lovely to fall asleep and wake up to as well. The kitchen had everything we needed during our stay, including a coffee press. It is a quick 5 minute walk down into the village where there are a variety of restaurants and some small shops. I would suggest grabbing a donut from Honey's, and if you're there on a Saturday the smoked salmon benedict is fantastic! The Arms Reach Bistro is a great place for brunch or dinner and they have a great view of the water as well. (they also make a great Caesar). The staff there are friendly and welcoming and the service is great. The cove is a great place to sit and admire the view and if you head down to the water try flipping over some rocks to watch the crabs scuttle away. Overall, this was a great location, and our hosts were fantastic! Thank you Greg and Kathryn!

An absolutely amazing spot to explore in Vancouver that is out of the hustle and bustle but still walkable to shops and eats.. AND spectacular hiking and kayaking! Kathryn and Greg were wonderful hosts, very friendly and accommodating with great recommendations for our quick stay.

Great location, really nice people, but somewhat disappointing stay as the noise coming from owners' house was enough to wake baby on multiple occasions. I wouldn't consider this spot to be baby/toddler friendly for that reason. Cleanliness and supplies were an issue during our stay and upon arrival.

Response from Kathryn:
Hi Sarah, I am sorry that you did not have an optimal experience. Your concerns are the first we have experienced and we will take measures to ensure that we don't create the same experience again. Note that we have professional cleaners after each guest. As well, I will ensure that in future we have more than one paper towel roll. We did have lots of toilet paper so I am not sure what the challenge was there. As for the creaky door, we hadn't had any complaints prior and we went out to buy you WD40 that night. Sorry we hadn't recognized the creaking prior. I am sorry that our guests Easter Sunday afternoon were noisy. We didn't know that the sound would carry and we won't do that again. Take care .

Well appointed, beautiful location. We had a wonderful time there, and look forward to staying again.

Response from Kathryn:
Hi Riccardo, thanks for the nice review and the comment about the dishwasher. As it has probably been used no more than 15 times, that is really disappointing. I'll look into it. Yes, looking forward to better weather and a completed patio with outdoor table and chairs and some lighting. Also, planning to trim some of the tree branches down to the view corridor. Thx again, Kathryn

Our Deep Cove New Years stay with friends in from Toronto at this fantastic new place Kathryn and Greg have purpose built for hosting awesomeness was everything we hoped for. For anyone looking to get just outside the city (30mins from downtown) best way to describe this place is some easy natural tranquility and ideal means to unplug & recharge. What I personally loved the most was all the natural light the sound of a running creek directly beside the suite. Deep Cove is a special place and stellar community, the Baden Powell trail head is pretty much just outside the door along with proximity to Seymour Mountain this makes for a great winter destination as well as the no-brainer summer. In already looking to a potential summer revisit as with Deep Cove being a must experience (sea kayaking up Indian Arm) you couldn't ask for better accommodations. Combined with absolute pro-Airbnb hosts from other properties this was actually my first as a guest so the bar has certainly been set high for futures.
