The space
The Master Bedroom faces west and offers a king-sized pillowtop mattress that you'll love to sink into, which is adorned with high thread-count sheets, and down comforters. This bedroom is located on the upper level, adjacent to the main living quarters. The master bath is original to the house; although not yet updated, it offers a large walk-in shower with grab bars and built-in bench.

Public transit is offered in town, but it's not likely that you'll use it. A trolley usually runs during the summer months, which is rather sweet and which you may enjoy.

The terrain is rather hilly. You can walk across town (literally), but you might prefer taking your car, as there are no sidewalks or streetlights in the residential neighborhoods.

Cambria is a magical place. It's a wooded area right next to the ocean. Cambria very rural, so it's quite normal to see wild turkeys, quail, and deer walking around the neighborhood.

The ocean brings with it the sounds and joys of the sea. Sea otters, dolphins, and seals spend much of their time close to shore, and you can watch pods of whales migrating while standing on the shoreline, or learn about the herds of elephant seals that call this area "home."

This house is located at the highest part of town. The area is referred to as "Top of the World." It's the sunniest and warmest of all the microclimates in town. Top of the World is also special because you have great views of both the Santa Lucia mountain range to the east and the ocean to the west..

Hi, I'm Renee, your host. I'm a technical writer by profession, but aspire to be a published author one day. Currently, much of my time and energy are spent on animal rescue. I have multiple cats that spend their time outside during the day, or in their outdoor pet kennel at night. I have a green-cheeked conure that is contained in my personal space. I also have a Shih Tzu and a Lab mix, both of which are loving animals that reside on the upper level, but are not allowed in the lower level of the house. My house is very comfortable. I have fine art paintings and sculptures throughout. Each guest bedroom on the lower level offers an east-facing deck. The master bedroom on the upper level offers a west-facing deck. The mountain views facing east are panoramic and serene. A lower patio facing east offers a built-in gas-plumbed firepit. Facing west is a distant ocean view. The area is peaceful and relaxing, and abundant with wildlife. Your stay includes a breakfast menu specific to your dietary needs. If you are lactose intolerant, gluten-free, paleo, vegetarian, etc., please advise and I will do my best to accommodate. The rate charged for your stay includes freshly prepared breakfasts and all taxes, making it an excellent value. I recently added a security deposit as a condition, which works similar to staying at a hotel. No money changes hands unless damage or pilferage results. During your stay

In the morning, coffee and a variety of organic (and other) teas are provided, along with gourmet breakfast options that are beautifully prepared with your dietary preferences in mind. Vegan, gluten-free, allergies, or paleo? I can accommodate.

Eggs are from organic and free-range chickens. I try to purchase organic fruits and vegetables when possible, but at the very least, I look for chemical free and non-GMO produce and packaged products.
