"Away with the Birds" is a creative and relaxing retreat set on 1/2 an acre of lovely established gardens. Your room is a private self contained Bungalow on the property called "The Nest".
Cradled in the foothills of Mt Donna Buang and a short stroll from shops & restaurants the property also has a lovely working pottery studio where your host, an accomplished potter & art therapist weaves her magic.
If you are wanting a special place to relax and be creatively inspired then look no further.

The space
I'm excited to be offering my lovely Bungalow "The Nest", a relaxing, harmonious space where you can completely unwind.
No children or pets.

The bungalow is light filled, private and very cosy. It has its own ensuite which makes for complete privacy and convenience.
The queen size bed is very comfortable and fully made up. There is split system air conditioner for those cooler nights and crisp mornings. Plenty of clean blankets and quilts if needed. Air conditioning is available for the hotter days to keep you comfortable.
There is a small kitchenette in the room with microwave, refrigerator, electric jug, crockery, cutlery, a range of teas and coffee and a light breakfast.

I also provide secure undercover shedding for bicycles.

For those creatively inclined people the artistic surrounds will surprise and delight. Guests can feel free to roam the gardens or visit the pottery studio. I am more than happy to answer any questions you may have regarding the pottery.

Where you’ll be

Warburton, Victoria, Australia

My neighbourhood is a vibrant small community, a mixture of older residents, some of whom have lived in this particular street all their lives and new young families who are wanting large gardens to grow vegies, have chickens and live sustainably. It's a picturesque stroll (15 mins) to the main street which has everything you need for your stay, including an Arts Centre and cinema plus a supermarket, cafes and gift shops.

Hi, my name is Jena and I am a Ceramic Artist and Art Therapist living and working in the Yarra Valley, Victoria. I love living in the country and thrive on the peace and tranquility. I was drawn to Warburton on my return to Victoria following 22 years living and working in Qld, the last 9 of which was spent living an alternative lifestyle in the rainforest of Northern NSW. I have always felt energised living in the country, as an artist I enjoy the natural beauty and the peace and tranquility of the bush. Warburton is a picturesque town with an interesting history, there is a vibrant creative art community and a friendly atmosphere. I run classes and weekend workshops from my home studio and I look forward to sharing my comfortable and inspiring home with you and introducing you to all Warburton has to offer.
